Clan Line had originally been scheduled to double head this special tour with Tornado, but unfortunately, Tornado had to be withdrawn at short notice, replaced by a Belmond liveried 67.
Cold and bright autumn weather added to the magnificent sight of Clan Line powering along the straight line between Redhill and Tonbridge, seen here at Nutfield. Even a local squirrel found a good vantage point to watch!

Thanks Danny. The 67 was well camouflaged in Belmond livery right behind Clan Line (where Tornado would have been). I believe that they included the diesel because of leaf fall….just in case !

That looked like a great place to view the train passing - quite a few viewers (furry and otherwise). Great footage as always Hilary, and playing spot the Tornado in disguise. (shame about the wheel flats). There was supposed to be an RHTT ahead of the train, but it must've been much earlier. Cheers, Brian

Nice footage great view down the line and very atmospheric with all that smoke - also enjoyed the squirrel shot too! I didn’t manage to get out today but captures her on Saturday passing through Woking!

Thanks, Anthony. I’d have preferred to have been on the other platform as there was no risk of being bowled and it better with the sunshine coming from behind, but there would have been a signal right in the middle of the shot, and I rather wanted the long view. It was ok for photographers. Squirrel had a great vantage point! 😊 Hilary

I totally get your concerns - I was fortunate at Woking on Saturday that there was nothing scheduled through on the opposite platform but my preferred station for Duchess of Sutherland tomorrow the risk of being bowled is very high so I’m still debating a different location.
