@@perthrockskinda2946 yeah, I live in central Scotland. it wasn't apart of the curriculum while I did history lessons. I didn't take history at Nat5 or higher but apparently Advanced Higher history talks about the jacobite rising(s) but we before then, I don't think I ever learned about it other than like, Robert burns and where burns supper originates.
I am a Robertson which is my mother’s maiden name. Very proud and my wife is from the McPherson clan. We are going to go visit Scotland for sure!! Can’t wait!!!!
Stuart Robertson and we still like a good dram oh whisky to this day as they say today’s rain tomorrow’s whiskey 🥃 slang 👍👍😊😊 Soar Alba 🏴 🏴 🏴 🏴
My grandparent’s parent’s family were Robertsons in Florida, farming on the land they lived on. I have fond memories of picking blackberries with my great-grandfather, a veteran of the Vietnam war who chose not to speak of those times. I did not learn about his ancestry until after his passing, and it led me to eventually visit Scotland in 2019. I’m still trying to understand just who my ancestors were
@@CJ-hc9ud My father was adopted and has no idea who his real parents are. He thought he was German/English his whole life. My DNA test tells me I am 22% Hun Chinese, 27% Native American, 22% Scottish, 21% Eastern European with a large outher% lol. Joined a group board looking for family DNA markers and that was how I found I am Robertson. Inuit have much respect for names believing that we carry their character forward.
WHEN I WAS A BOY I HEARD MY FATHER SAY I HAD A GREAT GRANDFATHER WHO CAME TO CANADA FROM SCOTLAND AROUND 1850 AND THAT HIS NAME WAS ROBERTSON. I DID NOT KNOW THERE WAS A CLAN ROBERTSON SO THIS IS QUITE INTERESTING. THANK YOU GARE
Virtutis gloria merces! Lucky to only stay a couple of hours from Struan, often visit and stop in for a bottle of Malt from Robertson’s in Pitlochry. 🥃

with the gentle cast of of yellow shine, upon the chin of those of old, we shall see the rise of those, they who fight and make it known, we shall see the rise of thine...the gentle cast of buttercups can make it known. we are those who known of old
My father has asked me to research his side of the family after researching my mothers side. It was amazing what I have found and still have a long way to go yet, I found there was a marriage or two Robertson that in some way would strengthen the Clan name in some way I guess. So can't wait to see what I find next......
As a Child, My hometown is 1 hour drive from the Heritage forest and I used to run around the forest as a child. I loved that forest and really stole my heart like it was said in the Video. When I researched my clan, I had no clue that my clan Robertson occupied the forest I used to run around as a child. Finding this out felt like fate for me.
I am a very proud Robertson/Donnachaidh. The oldest and greatest of Clans. ⚔️ P.S. after watching this I can say that I’m a huge fan of Alasdair Struan Robertson! 🥃 Slàinte
Proud Robertson in Virginia! I visited the clan museum in 2022 and felt at home on that beautiful land. Does anyone know if there is still a place to send DNA for ancestry identification?
I assume i am a descendant as my name is Anthony Struan Robertson? my family have been passing down Struan as the middle name of first born son for a while
Does anyone know of the "Crooked Crannies" and how they apply to the Robertson Clan? I am a descendant and I do have the crooked little fingers. All and any comments appreciated.
I am a descendant of Alexander Duncan born 1790 in Carnbee, Fife, Scotland and came to America and married Catherine Hart of Ireland. Do I have any cousins here that I can share communication? My Mother is a Duncan. I live in Colorado.
