I'm sure the Cuba government has figured out how to work around the U.S embargos? Because of antiquated politics against the U.S government, the Cuba government has hurt the Cuban people.

most people seem far more content than the people i see on the streets of the place where i live. here people have an insurance for everything. but no happiness in their eyes nor smiles on their faces.

Busy street parking south beach Miami. Waiting for guys to show up to work, gathered around talking. Dude pops out from under the car starter motor in hand. Tears the thing completely down, cleans, realigns windings and connections. Crawls back under the car, tap, tap, tap and out he comes. EVERY American replaces the entire starter motor. 15 minutes max. Car started right up. Cubans, every last one of them, and would proudly work any job along side them 👍

IF YOU CAN'T SELL TO THE USA, SELL SOMETHING TO CHINA. If the Cuban government allow the Chinese to build casinos there like Macau and charge them a lot of taxes, Cuba will get out of poverty.
Even Karl Marx will not agree with the practice of socialism in Cuba. Social democracy is the best look at nations like Sweden, Norway, etc. Look at the sucess they have attained in life. socialism can be misinterpreted.

Also, there is at least one Cuban lobby in the US whos main goal is to keep sanctions in Cuba as long as the communists are in power. Those are the ex-businessmen and major land owners who want their power back. - You wont see a cent coming from them. The only aid permitted to go to Cuba are medical supplies and food ... at least on paper. In reality even those are turned back a lot of times. It’s a bit more complex…I’ve spent most of my 73yrs studying oppression…crime has always been a part of the human experience. There are forms of living that certainly reduce it but as humans grow in population, experience severe shortages of the basics needed for survival and are forced to crowd together, I expect it to increase. Crime is about more than poverty. Because it’s not reported by class but in the West by “race” we have no hard data that deprivation makes crime more likely. A lot can be hidden behind close doors and closed gates. In other words it’s very likely to be under reported among the higher the class. It also depends on how you define crime…I personally find hoarding the majority of wealth and destroying our beautiful blue home to acquire more wealth criminal.

Add human greed to the mix and the ugliness of it all becomes very apparent. Greed for power, wealth, status…bigotry is both a useful tool and a byproduct.Get folks to hate each based on ethinicity, class and so on, they don’t ask a lot of questions about why they are all in the same boat.
