I just picked up a brand new copy of this game from a game store here in Toronto. It probably had been sitting there for a couple years. Such a great find (I’m hoping), but it wasn’t cheap (they know the game is somewhat rare at this point I bet. I’ve read it has a great solo mode which is exciting because that’s a great way to learn the game before trying to teach it.
Good review but felt the lack of overview at the start made it a bit harder to follow than usual. All the actions were explained well but there was no indication of the goal that would give context to tie them all together. Understand this might have been more difficult to plan given that it was shot entirely outdoors (which was a nice change of pace). I agree with your conclusion though - really enjoy this one although admit it's clearly drawn a lot of inspiration from Terra Mystica and is almost too similar. It's a fair bit more accessible though and the market mechanism is excellent so I think it's a solid alternative overall.
