Clara Jumi Kang was 4th prize winner in weak Tchaikovsky competition! Sarah Chang Ann Sophie Mutter Hilary Hahn never played in the big violin competitions and reason is no prizes! MUTTER Sarah Chang have colorless violin sound like black and white tv picture! Ann-Sophie Mutter so restless and out of rhythmic balance all the time! Mutter is famous only because Karajan was her friend!!
She has the sparkliest playing I have ever heard in my life 😭especially in the upper register. The way those notes shimmer is something right out of a dream. Another thing I love is how "still" she becomes when necessary to achieve spot-on precision. Like in all those noodly arpeggios around 35:47. Her movement is so graceful and carefree when the notes allow it, but she reins it in when the risk/reward ratio isn't worth potentially sacrificing precision, and the end result is GORGEOUS.
You must be joking! Are you kidding me! Come on! Weak Tchaikovsky competition weak 4th prize winner Clara Jumi Kang is not the greatest! Crazy world we are living when the crazy deaf people claiming weak 4th prize winner weak competition is the greatest!
Never heard this much dynamic performance of Brahms violin concerto. A full scale passionate interpretation opened up the Brahms magical world perhaps beyond even Brahms ever envisioned. Thanks for sharing this great live performance!
This is outstanding indeed! Clara's sound is well melted with the notes of Brahms. Dialogue is great, tension is great, and interpretation is really top class. I saw some you-tubes of Clara's play in Korea and did hope she should meet conductors who understand dialogues, tensions, articulations of the composers' music. Clara has deep colors of rendition with deep scent of music indeed. Fantastic Brahms!!!
I hold this to be number one of all Brahms violin conserts I have listened to. The clarity in it, where the musical feelings have the space to expand, is my motivation. And Clara-Jumi Kang gives her heart and blood in this interpretation.
Totally agree, and she takes making every note have meaning to a whole new level with this performance. Interpretation, intonation and clarity simply amazing. The instrument and setup is also deliciously even in tone.
Ottima intepretazione. Mi è piaciuta la scelta della cadenza di J. Joachim e la gestione del tempo nei primi 2 movimenti per enfatizzare il carattere spiccatamente lirico e danzante del concerto. 👏👏👍👍
Another great interpretation by the exceptional violinist that is Ms. Kang. Lovers of great music and, in particular, Ms Kang lovers, are grateful for this further sharing.
@VIOLIN RUBBISH In all due respect, of course: Please explain why we should pay any heed to your comments and opinions, if by your very own admission they are only so much rubbish?!
@@ts13579_texas_usa I guess I don’t need a reason why since you’ve already paid “heed” to my comment by replying!!! Rubbish it may be, but looks like you have something to say to me? Let’s hear your input, Oh great master of the wise~~
Angelo Stefanile What does this expression mean in the English language? For the Italian language it is a very angry person's curse. I don't think it means the same thing in the English language.
the entrance of 1th and 3th mov was so strange in terms of sound almost cracking the sound i dont understand why so many players has this understanding of playing german or romantic music in general with so much presion and tension
>> Beautiful yet boring, a Brahms gilded and neutered. @brandon cooper It looks like you forgot to post the link to your own performance of this concerto as violin soloist. That would give us a basis for a meaningful comparison with Ms. Kang's interpretation. Please do so at your convenience. Thanks.
Very clean, refine and accurate playing with beautiful interpretation; intonation is impeccable!! Especially love the traits of 'old-school' style of playing; very solid and rich tones. She definitely is a rare find!
