Clare Hurlers Charity Crossbar Challenge

The Clare Senior Hurlers have raised money for charity by becoming the first county side to take on the Charity Crossbar Challenge. All monies raised by the Clare side have gone to the Irish Heart Foundation and Cahercalla Hospice. Clare manager Davy Fitzgerald nominated the Waterford Senior Hurlers to take on the Challenge next. It is hoped that all funds raised by participating teams will be split evenly between the Irish Heart Foundation and the teams' choice of local charity. The video was recorded during a training session at Cusack Park, Ennis, County Clare, on June 16th, 2015.

+Vincent Honan Some Great show jumping capaill (horses) were bred in Co. Clare. "Tomboy" the bay with the Freakish (massive jump) watch Rodrigo Pessoa and him at the 1996 Olympics (Atlanta, G.A.) helping Brazil to team Bronze medals. The other "Leapy Lad" bred in Lissacassy, was a chestnut who was sold at the 1984 Dublin Horse Show for then IR£ 200,000 to America and came back and was 2nd in the 5 star (5*) Dublin Grand Prix of Ireland with rider Jay Land. Q. If County Hurlers can hit the cross-bar from that far out, Why can't they put the sliotar in the Top right or Top left corners, or Bottom left or Bottom right, corners while 10 metres out from goals, in the game (a match)?

Well it is and the name O'Connor is very common too.It literally means one who is descended from connor.Because of the popularity of the name in olden times there are O'Connors all over ireland.The last high kings were O'Connors,but not all or even most are descended from these O' Connors Kind of funny we have been called micks and paddys but we are more connors than anything
