Shield is a wild fighter she had chances where she could have finish this fight but because she was patient and was throwing wild punches and combination she didn’t get the knock out!! She is lucky that her opponent couldn’t take advantage of her wild miss swings

@@sivuyileveto9461 it always depends on what the opponent was at when given the opportunity. If she was ready it means she's better prepared for that particular fight more than Shields who was putting in work for a precise individual and then things changed
What amazes me it that people on this thread are hating and talking about how many time Shields missed and her level of competition but don't talk about Cornejo simply just getting beat. Shields has beat every top woman's boxer in her division and has even won in MMA so what else y'all want her to do? Y'all sound silly. Clarissa is a good fighter,but she has no defense. She has a very bad habit of dropping her hands,over confidence. She gonna get caught,if she doesn't get her defense together.
I dont think its over confidence. Its her style. She has a very good reflex & head movement, which i think her hand dropping helps her see opponent's incoming move. Where i feel she'll struggle is if her opponents attacks the body,and throws some low uppercut, then she might get caught because she docks alot.
She's been caught and knocked down before. So you're right. It’s just no one in women’s boxing has that type of power to demand respect for her to keep her guard up.
If Shields would concentrate her training on throwing straight right hands instead of looping over the top, her knockout rate would increase tremendously cuz the power is there but the fundamentals need improvement

I didn't really hear anything about this fight. But thank God: Claressa Shields beat her as usual and as expected. She's champion and the Gwoat at the same time. Praise God!!!
Congratulations to both the Lady's. Sheilds for her win and her opponent. Was a real trooper. She took some punches that most of shields opponent's couldn't. She has a real jaw.
Why? She got clearly outclassed, but she didn't receive a ton of damage, she actually looked quite fresh at the end of the fight (all things considered), why should have they thrown the towel?
