Thank you for a great review especially HEARING the output sound. No where in Clarimate website do they show you the sound it makes (DER)! You are great thank you for your review
Thank you for this video! I am having similar experiences with the clarimate, and like you, am very excited about its future as it matures, especially when the sound it produces matches the clarinet’s. I also am greatly impressed by the ingenuity of the Clarinet because it extends the acoustic instrument into the digital future! We can actually use our clarinets and the skills acquired playing it - to practice in silence or take advantage of Midi. This is radically different from the EWI approach of Yamaha, Roland, Akai etc. that, if to be used to practice the clarinet silently, require investment of money, time and training - taking one aways from the clarinet…
Great video! I read somewhere, but I can't find it anymore, that the new firmware has upgraded the sound quality. Have you noticed any improvements since you bought it?
Great video! I just recently purchased one and like it so far. However, have you tried in with your A clarinet? I’m having trouble fitting the tube down the bore.
Thanks for watching! There is a midi mode in which you can use the Clarimate as an input device, however, I have not yet explored all that! Buffet has a video showcasing this mode on their channel, but I will explore it more once I figure it out. ha
It Is possibile to play with natural reeds like e.g vandoren 3(no plastic) and chrystal embouchure ? It Is REALLY useful to practics at professional level? You known about times o comercialisation in Europe? Many thanks for your video!
Using natural reeds does not allow the device to work as intended. You can use your regular mouthpiece and barrel, but it doesn't make a difference in the sound production because the sound is electronic and generated by the device. I do believe it is possible to practice at a professional level assuming you take the time to really learn and understand the settings for the device. Thanks for watching!
I have hearing aids with Bluetooth technology. I can answer my phone through them and listen to music and videos, etc through them. Any idea of whether I could set up the Clarimate through them, instead of using headphones?
Hello! I was trying to figure out if this was possible but I could not get it to work! Apparently, using bluetooth to receive the audio causes too much of a delay to make practicing efficient using this device so it is not an option. You have to use the headphones due to the latency issues. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Hello! You are not able to use your own reed with the device since the reed provided allows the device to work properly. If you use your own reed, you will make a buzzing sound but won't be able to use the device properly as intended. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!
