All the previous topics have been outstanding. I still don’t have an answer to the question of whether a woman as a follower of Christ can refuse to continue with a pregnancy if she becomes pregnant as a result of rape. This is a tough question to answer. I hope that we will also have the opportunity to hear about gun control according to the Bible. This is also very concerning.
Basically, a woman who’s a follower in Christ should take into account that life begins ever since fertilization (when sperm fertilizes the egg), and that God recognizes that life as much as he recognizes a life a fully developed baby that has been born into the world. Hence, taking the life of your unborn child would be equally as sinful as taken the life of one who has been born no matter the stage of pregnancy. As a christian woman, this should be taken into account when deciding if you should get an abortion or not because you’re a victim of rape, (which is a horrendous sin), however that does not exempt you as a christian woman to commit another horrendous sin by aborting your unborn child and in God’s vision its the equivalent of killing a born child for they are both equally as alive as Pastor Omar states. But also, you are loved no matter what by God however. For God has forgiven you for you for your sins. I hope this provides some helpful insight.
I saw an ex-abortionist on a video stating that there is really no good reason for abortions. A person that have gone though the trauma of rape, having an abortion will add to that trauma. Nobody talks about the emotional and psychological scars an abortion can do. A desperate decision to go ahead with a 5mins procedure can take years to heal from. Women must know they are not alone and there is always hope and help that God will provide.
