@@two_inch_destroyer5820 Yes; he co-wrote/produced it along with Zedd, it was going to be a collab between them; however this was around the time Porter wasn't happy with the state of EDM and he decided to take his name off of it. Over time he's grown more open and happy with music in general, and as such he decided to bring back Clarity with his own spin on it (just in time too, Clarity had it's 10 year anniversary just months prior). In the original, you may be able to pick out Porter's voice amongst the backing vocals in the chorus.

I wish porter would put this mashup remix on Spotify because it slaps too hard 😭😭😭🤚🏻🤚🏻

Thank you so much! We used around 3 different recordings, including one from the Warfield afterparty where the crowd was much louder and easier to isolate.

@@d_i_s_t_a_n_t_s_t_a_r having tried (and failed) to get clean audio from crowd uploads myself, this project is really appreciated.

Haven't checked the project file in a while BUT I'm pretty sure that's all the natural crowd voices, we spliced together multiple crowd recordings from both Nurture Live and the afterparty show, I will say the afterparty recordings had a better tone overall (probably because it was more enclosed so the acoustics captured a fuller sound); there is also the clarity isolated vocals (including the subtle background heeeeys etc from the original) playing in the background, and that's pitched up 4(?) semitones up to match the key of Porter's version, so that could be the source of the higher octave tone, but for the most part the crowd is carrying the tone on it's own which is awesome ✦

The hardest part was editing out all of the vocals from people heavily on E.

I was gonna comment this same thing, the mixing/sequencing in this recreation is a lot cleaner and nicer than the actual line in audio version lol. But I guess that makes sense considering one was performed live and the other had time to focus on mixing

@@ethi_music Thanks! We went through the effort of replicating the live instruments with vsts (even the drums!), so that probably helped brighten the overall sound to a more studio-esque quality, at least somewhat
