This is a departure from Clark Airport in Angeles City Philippines. I departed on Cebu Pacific Airlines to Puerto Princesa in Palawan Philippines From Clark Airport. If you are planning an arrival or a departure here at the Angeles City Airport you will be happy with how modern, clean and efficient this airport is. The Clark airport is known as CRK.

CRK Int'l Airport is one of two main airports serving Luzon other than NAIA (MNL). Plus, CRK is not within the city limits of Angeles City. It's in Mabalacat in the Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone. Its top domestic destination is Cebu City (CEB) and internationally, it's Seoul-Incheon (ICN). You can even fly to Tokyo-Narita (NRT) from that airport and even two Middle Eastern destinations which are Dubai (DBX) and Doha (DOH). I've been to Metro Angeles in uncommon times from my home area of Metro Manila using NLEX.

I play a game called Airlines Manager using this airport as a hub and I have the IAD route and the routes of some major European airports like Heathrow, Charles De Gaulle, and Fiumicino. This is at the time of my writing this comment as I would be adding more flights from Clark to other airports.

I do think this airport should be used as the secondary airport and once it expands to handle a passenger count similar to the levels experienced in Doha and Dubai, this airport along with Bulacan and Sangley Point would accept the existing NAIA flights as well as additional flights from airports like Washington DC (IAD), Charlotte, Atlanta, Miami, Orlando, O'Hare, Houston Intercontinental, DFW, Denver, Sea-Tac, Anchorage, etc in the States. Canada would add flights from Calgary and Montreal to these airports. Flights from Europe to these 3 Filipino airports would include Dublin, Shannon, Heathrow, Charles De Gaulle, Schiphol, Fiumicino, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin, Athens, etc of any major airport in Europe.

A good chunk of Philippine Airlines flights should have a nonstop flight that utilizes NAIA and should have the option to land at Clark very likely once NMIA in Bulacan opens. Don't know about the Sangley Point upgrade yet. Even if Sangley Point is not upgraded, at least NMIA, NAIA, and Clark should be sufficient to handle more flights between the Philippines and anywhere throughout the world nonstop very likely using Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and any other Philippine-based carriers for long-distance flights with more new airplanes that can handle even longer distances. Once Clark Airport is upgraded, NAIA will keep its existing flight options and add these routes to NMIA and Clark. New non-stop American and European flights will be added to the NMIA and Clark airports in the hope that these new routes will make the Philippines a very popular tourist country and people not willing to layover elsewhere. NMIA and Clark will be constructed to accommodate more passenger traffic with the necessary infrastructure to handle the demand similar to the passenger counts seen at Heathrow, Doha, and Dubai. JFK should not be the only eastern half of the US to get a nonstop flight to the Philippines as O'Hare, Houston Intercontinental, DFW, Washington-Dulles, Newark, Boston, Charlotte, Atlanta, Orlando, and Miami should also get nonstop flights to the Philippines. In the western half of the continental US, LAX and SFO should not be the only options as Las Vegas, Phoenix-Sky Harbor, Sea-Tac, Salt Lake City, and Denver should also fly nonstop to the Philippines. Several busy European airports will also get nonstop flights to the Philippines. These flights not served by NAIA nonstop would only land at NMIA and Clark assuming Sangley Point remains as is without upgrade.

the fact is there are just too many airports being developed simultaneously. The new Bulacan airport is also within close proximity, unfortunately, majority of foreign carriers will likely only fly to one...unless there is a business district around clark (not sure the export processing zone counts), i don't see clark taking off.. It can be a good hub for transfering to domestic flights though from south korea or our main tourist markets... also many of those cities you enumerated dont even have nonstop flights to Bangkok or Singapore or Kuala Lumpur, the main tourist destinations in Southeast Asia, i doubt there will be enough traffic to go to Manila

@@Edna-z8v Most of these new direct routes to the Philippines will use NMIA in Bulacan.

This place is the finest airport experience of my life. How PAL does not have direct flights from North America to CRK is a crime. Many of the people that live in Luzon would rather go here rather than the sewer that is NAIA. Hell, you can do Number 2 in the bathroom and get some great plane watching while sitting on the throne. If they just add some more duty free places and a couple of watering holes, this place would be perfect.

they will probably consider Manila before clark.. by the way, not sure of there is enough traffic from Zurich to Manila, and in general European carriers just face too much competition from the MIddle Eastern ones, not even KLM flies non stop

What a waste..loosing than gaining. Constructing this airport to increase awareness that ANGELES City is alive..but look at now, do it gain profit? Nahhhh...wasting.
