Clary & Jace || Moondust [+ 3x21/3x22] (Series finale) 

The saddest part in this episode was when Clary says this to Jace in her letter: EVEN IF I DON’T REMEMBER YOU, YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART 💓

For all those saying that clace didn't get their happy ending, I have to say that you are totally wrong. If you'd read the books, you would know. In the end of the episode, Clary was getting her memories back, implying that the angels forgave her. They don't have to feed us every little details for us to know what happend afterward.. ;) In the books version, for example, it was Jace who had the haevenly fire inside him, and in Edom he and Clary found a way to trap the fire in the morningstern sword which was in Claries possession. That way, Clary was able to "kill" Jonathan, but they got trapped in Edom. So Magnus had to summon his father Asmodeus, in order for him to open a portal for them to pass through, but Asmodeus wanted immortality in exchange for the favor. The ideia was for Magnus to sacrifice himself, but instead Simon offered his own immortality, becoming Mundane and loosing all of his memories of the shadow world and his friends. Clary spent those months afterwards spying on Simon, because she missed him (as well as Izzy), but they had given their word to Asmodeus that they could never try to bring back his memories. Until one day, when Simon saw Clary watching him, and gave her an invitation for a concert of his band... which he named "The Mortal Instruments". That's when they knew Simon was getting his memories back on his own. Due to the war, the clave lost so many Shadowhunters, so they reopend the Academy to train new Shadowhunters (mundanes with the sight and old, lost shadowhunter families), so eventually Simon was invited to join the Academy, in the hopes of regaining all of his memories once he ascended (drank from the mortal cup, to become a Shadowhunter), which eventually he succeeded in doing. After ascending, Simon regained his complete memories back, became Clarys Parabatai and proposed to Izzy, fullfilling his dream of becoming one of them. The End. The producers may have changed the roles in the show, but I bet the logic is exactly the same. So, yeah, we don't get to see it, but Clary and Jace had definteley a happy ending.

They do but in the books it was Simon and Izzy that went through this and he started to remember just like Clary did at the end. ( there was a whole series of books about his exploits after that) So Jace got his wish, their love is stronger than the angels spite. One pair had to have an ambiguous ending and this has been coming for a while despite how sad it was.

Clary and Jace deserved a better ending then what they got after everything they been through together They are so perfect for each other and always has been sense the moment they met When Clary was with Simon back in season 2 even if she can’t say it to him but she do loves Jace right from the moment they met, she fell in love with him and so did he, The way he was there for her when her mother had died I just loved it so much, No can ever understand her as much as he does But it wasn't until when they thought they were siblings that Jace realised that he had fallen in love with Clary, and he couldn't have that kind of feelings for her because (What he thought was his sister) it was so terrible hard on him he loved her despited everything even in a way he wasn’t supposed too he wanted to be with her so much. Even when she lost her mother he was really there for her even if it killed him inside how much he cares and loves Clary more then a brother, he did it anyway because she really needed him to be there for her and he understood that, that's one of my favourite things about them. And one of the reasons why I’m going to miss about them too!!! This was the most heartbreaking decision she ever had to do in 3x22 she loves Jace with all of her heart 💔 it’s so painful to see this I’m loving them so terrible much this show shouldn’t had ended like this poor Clace they both deserved a better ending together!!!!!!!!

Everybody got their happy ending except them :/

Why didn’t Clace get their happy ending. Ever since the beginning they loved each other. We need a follow up, why did they have to leave it in a cliff hanger

I think this ending is okay but they deserved better. I think they did this so if there ‘ever’ will be a continuation, it will be easier to make it. 💗 btw. I don’t understand how people think this isn’t a happy ending? In the books the roles were reversed and it was Simon that lost his memories but he saw clary spying on him and therefore had the sight and slowly regained his memories whilst joining the clave and becoming a shadow hunter, he became clary’s parabatai and proposed to Izzy as you can see it’s a similar situation and this is already happening since she was able to see jace, they don’t need to give us every price of information you just need to look at it in a deeper aspect

They deserved more. :( so sad for both of them.

Guys, it was actually a happy ending for them if you think about it! You remember what Jace said to Simon? He said that he prays to the angels everyday that they'll realise his and Clary's love is stronger than all this. And they heard him. Clary is going back to becoming a shadowhunter, she's going back to remembering! That's why she knew Jace's Name, 'cause their love is so incredibly strong!! Their last scene showed us their coming reunion as a couple! Despite everything, they are the main couple. Because their love was strong enough to remain and get through every ppssible thing ❤️

Noooo the ending was so sad but I loved it still tho it wasn't the best ending I would say. But the cliffhanger I think it meant that the angels gave back the powers and memories to Clary. I wont lie I cried in this last episode. Just one thing I wanted Jonathan to survive and become good so he would have an happy ending too so that is also a thing that I hated about the ending but cried for. I cant believe this show have ended forever I will forever miss it.

At the end of the last episode clary touched jaces ruin on his neck and her memories came back that’s why they both smiled at each over read the books

Ooo they should do a series of the dark artifices (the sequel series) I honestly don’t like the fact that clary lost her memories instead of Simon cause that’s just the ending I’m used to and ya know. But if they did a sequel series...(I haven’t seen all of the show so I’m assuming) *spoilers for the sequel series ahead* We might get to see Isabelle’s and Simons wedding, Malecs wedding, Clary and Jaces wedding, or just Julian and Emma which idk if they even put them in the show. I’m gonna be pissed if they didn’t.

So when Katherine said not everyone is going to be completely satisfied with the ending she was talking about clace fans. I just think it’s unfair how they revolved the series around Malec scenes when there’s some much clace content we didn’t see. There were so many more Malec scenes and if something is based off the books it should be accurate, the books used clace as the foundation for the plot but the show just barely acknowledged them only bc they were together in the books they half assed it.
