Clash of Clans Attack Strategy: Super Archer with Dragon & Dragon Rider
Introduction
The combination of Super Archers, Dragons, and Dragon Riders can create a powerful and versatile army composition capable of tackling various base designs in Clash of Clans. This strategy leverages the long-range power of Super Archers, the fiery breath of Dragons, and the devastating damage of Dragon Riders to dismantle enemy defenses systematically.
Army Composition
A typical composition for this strategy at Town Hall 13 or 14 might include:
- 3- Super Archers
- 5-6 Dragons
- 4-5 Dragon Riders
- 4-5 Balloons (for scouting and tanking)
- 5 invisible spells
- 2 Clone spells
- Clan Castle Troops: Super Minions or more Dragons/Dragon Riders
- Heroes: Archer Queen, Barbarian King, Grand Warden, and Royal Champion
Attack Phases
#### Phase 1: Funnel Creation
The first step is to create a funnel to guide your troops toward the core of the base. Deploy Super Archers on the corners or edges of the base where there are multiple structures in a line. Their long-range arrows can take out several buildings from a safe distance, creating a clear path for the main army. Use a few Balloons to scout for and eliminate any air traps that might threaten your Dragons and Dragon Riders.
#### Phase 2: Main Army Deployment
Once the funnel is established, deploy Dragons and Dragon Riders in a line behind the cleared area. Spread them out slightly to prevent them from clustering and falling victim to splash damage. Use the Grand Warden’s ability to protect your troops during the initial phase of their entry into the base, especially when they encounter high-damage defenses like Multi-Target Inferno Towers and Eagle Artillery.
#### Phase 3: Spell Placement
As your Dragons and Dragon Riders advance, use Rage Spells to boost their damage and speed. Place these spells where they can cover the maximum number of troops, ideally in areas with high concentrations of enemy defenses. Freeze Spells should be used strategically to neutralize key defensive structures such as Scattershots, Single-Target Inferno Towers, and Air Sweepers. Heal Spells can be used to sustain your troops through prolonged engagements, particularly when they encounter grouped defenses.
#### Phase 4: Hero Support
Deploy your heroes to support the main army. The Barbarian King can be used to tank and clear out nearby structures, while the Archer Queen can pick off defenses from a distance. The Royal Champion should target key defensive structures, such as Inferno Towers and Air Defenses, using her ability to take down multiple defenses in quick succession. Keep an eye on your heroes’ abilities and activate them at critical moments to maximize their impact.
#### Phase 5: Clean-Up
As the main defenses are dismantled, use any remaining troops and spells to clean up the remaining structures.
