A free to play player is able to get the gauntlet. Which is the only item that can help you win. It is only pay to win if there is a game item that free to play can't get
It's scummy FOMO tactics because the issue is if you're a f2p player that plays casually on and off, maybe you missed this event, now you have to buy the epic equipment with gems. Maybe you did get the giant gauntlet, but maybe you'll decide to take a break for a while in a couple months, and then you'll miss some other event offering another epic equipment. It's greedy by supercell.
@brycegriffin9271, well, if anybody is taking breaks, regardless, they will miss it the 1st time when its more easy to obtain, even if the person is F2P or P2W
How is this pay to win tf? I rushed to town hall 8 (f2p) to get the cookie rumble event and it was super fun. I got the Giant Gauntlet and the other rewards. Just because we can choose between progression and cosmetics doesn’t make it P2W, just a scummy tactic
@@BlatantOrion It's not true that you can never catch up. It takes only slightly over 3 years if playing optimally, to max out buildings (not troops). By optimally I also mean that we assume you have infinite loot because technically you can farm it infinitely. Of course, every time Clash of Clans puts out a new Town Hall, it changes a bit, like if you've played for 1 year (lets say you're maxed TH11) and need 2 years more, CoC might rebalance the economy such that maybe you only need 7 months to get to maxed TH11 and additional 5 months to get to max TH16. And so the time needed is "extended" by 5 months. But it's not going to extend it by that much. So eventually you're gonna max everything and hence catch up

The sad part of the update is that they released a lot, like pet in the past now as F2p I will wait our P2w community to tell us which equipment to invest on. But Yes Coc can become a P2w. To differentiate a P2w from a F2p game. Ask yourself if there was two player 1)one an f2p very good player and 2)an p2w decent player who has spent a lot. Who will win? . If you doubt on the f2p it’s means that’s the game is p2w
This was and is loved by the comunity same with these cookies we dont hate them at all. I get your problem with this but come on its not that bad and the skins dont matter.
It def was that’s how a business works…. I’m not defending them however. I only Payed the 5 bucks cause I really liked the gingerbread skins same with the ghost skins in October. The next events like this I won’t be paying for as I only like Christmas and Halloween skins and stuff like obstacles they give out. For instance the lunar new year stuff is pretty boring and even if the skins cool I still won’t be getting anything besides the obstacles tbh.
f2p need to focus on progression and that should be main priority not stupid cosmetic regardless if it's exclusive or not. trust me once you get those skins you'll lose interest on those soon and another one would be in shop more tempting, understand what's more important and don't fall for it's insignificant charms.
I didnt like this event bc the events where meant to give the free to play player something while being fair to p2w and last event didnt show that wich made me kinda mad bc back in thr dqy it was free things without needing to even collect some thing like cookie elixer
I spend money from time to time on clash. My dad, however, hasn't spend a dime. Completely F2P. He isn't mad at this event whatsoever because regardless of whether you buy the Event Pass or not, you can STILL get the Gauntlet, regardless of whether you spend money or not. It's not pay-to-win, people are just crybabies. Edit: I'm the 9th subscriber.
Players got the option to buy a legendary skin, limited cosmetics or progression aiding hero abilities. They need to monetize it some way. Go criticise CR devs and their abhorrent P2P not P2W, P2P tactics. COC devs r doing just fine
So where's the pay to win part? You know that pay to win means that YOU WILL WIN(3 STARS) ANY ATTACK BY PAYING, PAYING A WHAT? Skin is not even giving any attributes, only for visual purpose. The giant gauntlet? All of players, even the free to play can get it. Really make non-sense

I dsnt make sense wha u takin cause u can get the gauntlet f2p and that’s the only thing that matter the rest just som ad drip 4 ur base and nothing more so idc if f2p players can get it or not when they wanna the “Mega Barb King BBC Shiny Tower” so bad just pay 4 it!
