Holy shit, that was awesome. This game was amazing, some frustrating parts aside, I loved the hell out of it. So dark, so weird...so good.

Something I think about way too much: when the Skull Kid says "You have the same smell as the fairy kid who taught me that song in the woods...", a lot of people seem to think that Link is the "fairy kid" he means, and that he's referring to how you can encounter him in OoT and befriend him if you play Saria's Song. However, when you think about it, it becomes clear that by "fairy kid", he actually means Saria herself. Because when Link plays Saria's song for him in OoT, he recognizes it as Saria's song, and befriends you because you're also friends with Saria. Meaning that he had already met and befriended Saria prior to that, and first learned her song from her, too. ... Also, since it's now obvious that Skull Kid from this game is that one Skull Kid from OoT, remember how Nico killed him in his playthrough of that game :^V ?

Something you missed in the ending was Gorman finally seeing Lulu singing live and remembering the previous Lulu from when he was little and why he wanted to get into show business. It's one of my favorite moments from the ending.

Majora: *getting wrecked by Fierce Deity powers* "Why the heck did I give him that mask I'm so stupid"

Majora's Mask is such a genius game because of how well it comments on the themes of Ocarina of Time. I think my favourite part about Majora's Mask is the commentary it makes on childhood. At the end of Ocarina of Time, Link being taken back to his childhood was seen as a reward. From an adult's POV, being a child is great, because you can live free and without worry, which is obviously what Zelda intended when sending Link back. But what people forget about childhood is how you're stuck, and have no agency or freedom to live your life. This is of course, symbolized excellently by being unable to escape the three day cycle. As a child, you have no control over your own life. Link can only move forward by taking the forms of adults, using the masks. By helping the people of Termina, he gains access to the Fierce Deity's Mask, which doesn't just turn him into an adult, but a God. Gods have control over the lives of everyone else. According to the Zelda Encyclopedia, the Fierce Deity's mask was created by the feelings of everyone Link helped in Termina, and it represents his maturity as someone who can freely help others. Link isn't just an adult in body, like in Ocarina of time, but in soul now too. If Ocarina of time is the quintessential Hero's Journey, then Majora's Mask is a commentary on heroes. I've wanted Nico to play this game since 2014. I can't wait to see him play more Zelda. As for next LP, maybe Paper Mario or Kid Icarus? We need something short before the Kingdom Hearts 3 hype train. Also, Nico needs to watch the new Kingdom Hearts Union Cross updates sometime before KH3 too.

Also, did you notice how in the outro, we never see a single Goron? I've a theory that the reason we don't is because they were holding a second funeral of sorts for Darmani, because Link, before he left Termina, told them all the truth about what really happened to him. The reason the funeral wasn't included because it would have been too sad to see a whole tribe of mourning Gorons in what's supposed to be a "Happy" ending. That's why I think we're shown the Deku Butler mourning over his son, in order to hint that Link let the friends/family of the "masks" know what happened to them. Heck, the second time we see Lulu in the outro, Zora-Link is gone, and she has her head bowed. Like she was having a moment to remember Makau.

I know tht this series is over, but I just wanted to take a moment to inform you about the lore behind the Fierce Deity's Mask. So It's been speculated that this mask actually houses the spirit of the hero who originally sealed Majora into a mask in the first place. This is heavily implied to be the case if you go out of the game world and read the official Majora's mask manga where such things are elaborated or at least hinted at. What's interesting in that case is that, since Majora is the one who gives you said mask, it's possible that Majora, now fully in control of its own power, is actually using you as an opportunity to finish the his battle with the Fierce Deity that he never got to see to its end. It has also been theorized that the "Fierce Deity" may be Link's Terminan counterpart, due to their similar appearance and voices. The voice similarity could be explained by the fact that Link's voice and clothing are partially preserved in his other transformations, however the Fierce Deity's Mask itself has a similar face and hat. Unlike the other three transformations masks, the Fierce Deity's Mask uses the possessive form of the word, implying that the mask itself once belonged to a Fierce Deity, as opposed to the deity's soul being sealed inside the mask. Though it should be noted that the gossip stone located on the opposite side of the river to the Deku Scrub in Ikana Canyon refers to it as the "Fierce Deity Mask" and it is called Fierce Deity Mask in Breath of the Wild. Quite fascinating though, isn't it?

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door! Thank you, I’ll be here all night!

I'm almost positive this has been brought up here before, but there's something about it I never really see people mention: So in Japanese, the game that the Moon Child with Majora's Mask challenges you to is "oni-gokko", which is essentially a game of tag. Literally it means "Pretending to be an oni", since the person who is "it" is called an "oni" in that game. This ties into the Fierce Deity Mask, which is known as the "Kishin Mask" in Japanese. "Ki" is an alternate reading of the kanji for "oni", and thus "Kishin" can be translated as "Oni Deity", but note that a Kishin is not an Oni God, it's a deity with the ferocity of an oni, that punishes sinners with its wrath. So in Japanese its this little pun where the Moon Child assigns you the role of the oni, and then literally hands you an "oni" mask. But in a way, Link turns this bad guy role thats forced on him on its head, and instead becomes a figure of good that's only sort of similar to an oni. There's other ways the Japanese version plays with the symbolism here. See, the Moon Child tells Link to run, saying in Japanese "An oni just runs away", but that's actually weird. Because, in a game of "oni-gokko", the oni is the chaser. So the Moon Child also turns the roles around. This could potentionally be related to the fact that it's thought that the Japanese word "oni" originates from a term that means "to hide", since the idea of an oni back in those days was more of a supernatural being or departed spirit that never shows itself. So we kinda get a lot of "oni" symbolism here, like oni are stock bad guys in lots of Japanese folklore, while also having different meanings in different contexts (like the aforementioned kishin, or the original meaning of the word "oni" itself), and thus wether an oni is truly bad or not can depend entirely on your perspective. With both Link and the Moon Child flipping the roles of who a bad guy is and what they do on its head, you could argue it becomes this idea of like, a lot of this stuff can be subjective, especially to a being whose morality can be quite different from the norm, such as an incomprehensible demonic deity, or a sad lonely child. And all of that kind of ties into the Skull Kid as well. Throughout the game, the Skull Kid is called an "imp" by several characters, but in Japanese he gets called "ko'oni", which means "little oni". So the Moon Child bringing up "oni-gokko" at all is a call-back to the label the Skull Kid was given multiple times beforehand. Of course, this whole thing is a bit lost in English, but it would've been hard to get across anyway.

The fierce Deity mask, housing the soul and power of a literal god slayer. According to the Majora's Mask manga, the soul is a completely separate entity that link has little control over, he exposes the Happy Mask Salesman as some form of trickster god bending the rules of the world and only let's him go because Majora was a real threat

You asked an interesting question during your Ocarina of Time LP. “Why doesn’t Link turn into a Stalfos in the Lost Woods when other Hylians do?” The answer is simple. It’s his fairy companion. Their presence keeps their ally from turning into a Stalfos. A dark side to this ending is that, with neither Navi nor Tatl by his side, Link wanders the Lost Woods forever, eventually turning into a Stalfos.

Perfect "Now Back To"

You should definitely play Twilight Princess in future, Nico - but not until you've gone through Wind Waker. I would also recommend trying out Link's Awakening at some point, as I think you'll find it surprisingly charming. As for your next LP, my suggestions would be either Bayonetta or Paper Mario. I honestly don't see a whole lot of editing being necessary for either game and you'll definitely have fun with both of them.

Man, that as a great LP. I as pretty blind to Majora's Mask so I don't have too much to say this time around, but it as a fun Zelda ride. This franchise is pretty great. As for the next LP, I’d like to recommend Kid Icarus Uprising. Contrary to popular belief, it is not an FPS, but rather a Third Person Shooter that borders more on being a beat em’ up game in all honesty. It's very easy to record as its' a level by level based game, and there isn't much to cut out due to the dialogue that occurs mid level as you're traveling through it. Since you enjoyed Mother 3 so much Nico, I think you’d love Kid Icarus’s sense of humor, its’ cast is very charming and they love to poke fun at classic video game tropes and even some really funny 4th wall breaks from time to time. It has one of the best villains to ever grace a video game, and even when the story gets more dramatic and compelling, it still manages to keep the level of levity and charm that drew people to the game and made it memorable for them in the first place. It’s a wonderful gem of a game on the 3DS, and I think you’d really enjoy it. :D

Gonna throw Trails in the Sky out here again. A game that hasn't been let's played much but would be perfect for Nico's style. It's not too long (for a rpg) and is just a delight with good character, a fun world and nice if simple gameplay

The real moon lies in orbit above this world. Kokichi Link: A fake? That explains why it has such an ugly face. Well anyway, I can’t take you to the moon, or whatever. I’d have to strike up a deal with Kaito, and there’s no way I’d admit I need his help. Majora: In that case, we shall begin the Final Boss. I will give you this mask. That way, we can stand on equal footing. Kokichi Link: No thanks. The only mask I need is my nightmare face Kafei Mask. Majora: Will you not take it? Kokichi Link Is the final boss really that hard? Majora: It is. Link, I know what you’re thinking. You believe that by defeating me, you can save this world... from the quick demise that is its fate. Kokichi Link: Well, as much as I hate to end the “game,” I really don’t want to wait another three days to retry. All right. Let’s fight. I’ll take you directly to hell myself! Majora: Well, shall we play? Ok I know that was painfully unfunny, but hey, I tried.

I know I said this last time but I highly recommend Kid Icarus Uprising for the next LP, although after some thinking I think Bayonetta could be a good idea too

So, while I’d like to talk about how strong the symbolism is in the Moon, I’m pretty sure someone else can talk about that. But I would like to mention stuff about Majora themself- namely their first form in the boss fight. It assumes its base form of a mask, but it has weird tentacles jetting from the back.... We saw it detach itself from Skull Kid......... Oh dear lord. I think you can understand the implications here.

You dont actually need the moon tear to get up to clock tower, the only reason the flower was needed was because of the fact that deku link was to short to reach the platform before the entrance. regular link can just jump up to it from the side.

So, Nico, now that Majora's Mask is over, I'm guessing Wind Waker will be the next Zelda game you LP? If so, please, give Link in that game the Apollo Justice voice! Or at least a kid version of it. It's just too fitting personality-wise not to, trust me!

Fun fact, in the smash brother's stage you can actually see the Moon falling in the background and as it approaches the Giants come out and throw it out of the stratosphere.

Regarding the money complaint, this is actually something Link between worlds does really well. All of your tools are borrowed and will be returned if you die and you can buy them permanently in the late game. This allows for money to be a good and fulfilling reward since you need it frequently.

Trails in the Sky has my vote, yet again. It's criminally underrated. Well, so is Stella Glow on the 3DS.

Fierce Deity, pre-supplementary material, was the most bizarre and interesting thing that fans liked to discuss. It's so out of nowhere, and so out of left field for the entirety Zelda lore, even today. Just what is he? Why does the ultimate source of evil and chaos consider *that* the bad guy? Is he just talking out of his -tentacles- or is this one of his few moments of clarity, actually labeling him as something truly, *TRULY* on a level above him? Was he the *creator* of Majora's Mask, an original member of the Moon Tribe?? It would make sense, considering how so one-sided the battle became once he donned it. Before supplemental lore and info came up, we thought the craziest things. Could he have been the very first Link? And what's his relation to Majora? Initial theories pointed to him being an evil that Link succumbs to, if he dares to use it. New material comes from the Manga, and tells what his connection to Majora is. It the beginning, there was a dragon, a dragon by the name Majora. He lived in a realm devoid of time, where he devoured all who trespassed in his domain. However, a mysterious man came, and instead of having the intent to slay him, merely wanted to talk to him. This strange individual, who bares a very, very uncanny resemblance to Link, played music for Majora, and the dragon danced for many days and nights. After *three days and three nights, just like the span of the game,* Majora finally succumbed to time and died. He then carved out his hide, creating a mask containing his own power, hoping to seal this power. It's strongly hinted that this Link's instrument has similar powers to the Ocarina Of Time, and could be a primal predecessor of it.

I love Nico’s voice for the Mask Salesman. ALL the voices he gives are great, but I personally love the Salesman voice.

Now that Majora’s Mask is done, what game should Nico play next??? I have 3 requests: 1. Kid Icarus Uprising. This is a very short game so you’ll most likely complete it in under 5 episodes. However, despite its short length, it’s definitely one of the greatest Nintendo games out there!!! The comedy in it is subpar and it’s definitely up your alley. Also, may I request that you React to the Paulutena’s Guidance conversations afterwards from Smash Ultimate???? 2. 2. Paper Mario. Basically, this is Undertale/Earthbound but with Mario characters. And much like Kid Icaras, the comedy is really freaken gold. Also it’s decently sized, I can see it taking up to 10 to 13 parts. However, I honestly don’t have many things to say about the original Paper Mario. But it’s sequel, The Thousand Year Door, and the sequel after it, Super Paper Mario are honestly one of my favorite video games of all time. Both of those games being let’s played by you would be a Dream come true. But yeah, you need to play the first one first.......... 3. Bayonetta. Much like NeiR automata, this game is a beat-em up like game with a hot Anime girl. And with her inclusion in smash brothers, I think it would be cool to see your reactions and what her game is about. Also I believe it’s quite short. With Kingdom hearts 3 looming closer and closer, I think it’ll be better to LP one of these short sized games.

I’m gonna make one more case for Professor Layton: Nico, this is one of the most popular and beloved visual novel/puzzle series out there. The first game wouldn’t take you too long on the way up to Kingdom Hearts 3, and is full of eccentric fun characters that you could give voices to and stretch your British accent! The story is full of mysteries and twists that you can try and predict, fun puzzles to work on, and so on. Plus, once you beat the first one, there’s five main games to play, two spin-offs, a crazy fun simulator game, and the ace attorney x Layton game! I would really recommend you play this, so let’s get this suggestion up high!

Trails in the Sky The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (although not immediately) Disgaea Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (or Xenoblade Chronicles X, although I don't know how you'd pull that one off unless you straight up bought a Wii U. On the other hand, if you bought a Wii U, you could also play the HD remake of Wind Waker, which, unlike the remake of this game, is generally considered to be better than the original)

Personally, I think you wait on Wind Waker. Mainly due to its HD remake will very likely release on the Switch at one point. Well, unless you wanna buy a Wii U.............

Well Nico, I must say that this was a really fun series! I can see why people consider it a cult classic and it was (suprisingly, at least for me) enjoyable after I considered OOT to be rather... meh. But of course with another series ending and KH3 coming out in next month, I thought that one of two new LPs should be something shorter and I feel there are two games that could fill this gap: First one being again Bayonetta. It's relatively short and it hits all the notes when it comes to your sense of humor and action and since Bayonetta 3 might be potentially coming out next year, then why not? I can already see many adlibbing opportunities from you. And it would join the collection of the series you played games from that are in Smash after Xenoblade, Mother 3 and Zelda :p And you know, we could continue tender cleavage saga. The second game is Professor Layton and The Curious Village. This game has been demanded for quite a while and since the end of Spirit of Justice we did not really had proper visual novel on the channel and I feel it's quite a good time to start the series, especially since you do have interest in that Ace Attorney crossover, but you said yourself you want to play mainline games first before touching it. Layton would just be a nice change of pace, seeing if your bullshit can break through various puzzles the game puts in your way and plot, while rather simple, is pretty enjoyable. (Now maybe you will wait with VN LP until KH3 starts, so alongside a action JRPG you would have something contrasting. Maybe it would finally be time to play Steins;Gate 0? Of course that depends on you :v) So yeah, two of these games seem like a good fit for a next short LP before KH3 in my opinion, so I hope you take them into consideration, Nico :>

If I were to recommend a LP, I would say either Kid Icarus: Uprising or SMRPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. KIU is fun beat em up third person shooter that I have no doubt you would enjoy. As for SMRPG, I feel that is the best place to start when it comes to the Mario RPG's. All of the games after it inherited game play traits, character, and the humor of this game. Heck, Paper Mario was originally going to be SMRPG2! As you like to start with the earliest games so you could get the right quality of life experience, this would be the best place to start. Not that it can't stand on it's own otherwise, it was a game made in collaboration with Nintendo and Square, so it is of very high quality. It's a nice, classic Square RPG with some Nintendo flavor.

I would suggest Kid Icarus Uprising or Ar Tonelico. Both games fit your sense of humor and are different enough for you to try.

In the manga for Majoras Mask (yes there was a manga) Fierce Deity Link kills Majora as the happy mask salesman is trying to slink away with it, it is suggested that the happy mask salesman is just as bad as Skull Kid if not worse in terms of wanting to hurt other. Honestly even when I was a kid, the happy mask salsman always seemed like the real villain in this story. If Majora hadn't been taken by Skull Kid there would probably even worse terrors awaiting the world, he is truly terrifying. After all the happy mask salesman is an adult with ambition and built up anger, Skull Kid is just a child who has been through some awful things so he plays tricks on people, Majora took that and it's why he's so goofy in the final fight he's just playing around with a kid. If a powerful adult like Fierce Deity Link challenges him though... well there is simply not that much he can do.

I always found it interesting how Majora uses whips, you never see the big bad using whips, it's always a sword or an ax.

Since I suspect Yakuza will be ending soon I would like to suggest Kid Icarus Uprising. It's short, it's entertaining, and it will be a nice compliment to the eventual Kingdom Hearts 3 LP. And then sometime after that in the later future? I eagerly await Xenoblade Chronicles 2!

People talk about Kafei being Link's Terminian counterpart, but I think the Fierce Deity is. I mean, he looks and sounds like Link, so why not?

Being able to hear your thought and theories on this game was very thought provoking and hearing (seeing?) all the penguins talk about the lore in the comments definitely expanded my horizons with this game. Thank you very much for another great LP. As for your new schedule, we all completely understand. You put so much effort into this community and work so so *so* hard for all of us. We can deal with “only” one LP. To close this wall of text I’d like to recommend Kid Icarus: Uprising for when you finish Yakuza 2. KI:U is such a fun game with hilarious dialogue that has humor right up your ally. Best of all the game is pretty short so you’ll be able to breeze through it for our upcoming beautiful Kingdom Hearts 3. Thanks for the read and *staaaaaaaaaay* classy!

I know this LP ended but I just remembered a fun fact. After the ocarina of time there was a project for a Zelda game which would have 7day cycle (which would take around 1h irl) and the goal was to catch a thief within this time limit, but because the developers thought it would be too troublesome to go through 7days over and over again, they decided to stick with 3 days instead. There are some leftovers of the original project left in the game which can be seen when performing 4th day glitch. This glitch removes time limit and basically you are transferred to the "base" of the game (without most of the npc and time related events). In this glitch you can see that moon is far far away from the Termina and looks like normal moon. Some people speculate that this is the moon from the 1st day of the original 7day cycle. It's really interesting to read about it. I also heard that there was a concept of link being in a prison and having 7 days to escape from it; however i cannot find the source where i heard that so this is unconfirmed info (but the overall idea of 7day cycle is officially stated by Aonuma). Maybe if Nintendo made majora's mask in recent years, they would make it with 7day cycle and maybe ability to choose which day we want to jump into. If it had the development team similar to the breath of the wild, there could be tons of events and interactions within those 7 days. It would be great if Nintendo made a remake or just different version of the game called Majora's mask week of doom (or something similar). Some events would seem more logical to happen within 7 days instead of 3.

The Fierce Deity’s Mask may well be one of the most overpowered 100% completion rewards to ever exist. It makes even the final boss an absolute joke, and it’s worth the effort to obtain just to see how absurdly powerful it is. Man, this year and the last have had a ton of highly-requested projects. Personally, I’m highly anticipating Xenoblade 2, but I know that needs to wait until next year. It almost definitely won’t happen until after Kingdom Hearts III is done, and he’ll probably want a short break from RPGs after that to begin with. So we’re going to the single playthrough model again? No complaints from me. Looks like Nico is really feeling it while waiting for Kingdom Hearts III. XD As for my suggestion, think I’ll jump on the bandwagon and nominate Kid Icarus Uprising for the next project. It’s a fairly short game that you should be able to finish before or around the release of Kingdom Hearts III. It has a sense of humor you’d really enjoy. At the same time, the controls take some getting used to. It’s a third-person shooter on the 3DS, so it takes a while to get accustomed to. But if you stick with it, I feel like you’d really enjoy yourself.

Well this series was fun. With another slot opening up, I've got a few suggestions for an LP. Edit: 1:30:27 Whoops, never mind. Gotta wait till Yakuza is over. There was of course Professor Layton and the Curious Village, just so Nico could reach the Phoenix Wright crossover eventually. Lately I've been thinking Okami HD would be nice because I completed it for the first time recently. Then there's Steins;Gate 0 which I'm pretty sure doesn't have any copyrights or something anymore. And to be honest, I really want the next Zelda LP to be the Wind Waker. I just loved that one too much.

Okay. Since this is the end of an LP and a bunch of people are recommending a lot of other games, I'm going to enter a dark horse. An anime reaction. Okay, okay, I know that it's one of the patreon goals, but listen to my logic first. Because KH3 is coming in about a month, it would be most preferable to either play a REALLY short game or react to an anime. And since Nico hasn't reacted in a while, I think it would be a fun choice. If I had to recommend an anime from the get go, it would have to be Puella Magi Madoka Magica. I LOVED the themes explored in it, and would probably be up Nico's ally, (not to mention that it's one of my favorite animes of all time, no joke). The anime itself is only 12 episodes plus a movie that follows up the show, and the main character in the English dub is voiced by the same person who voices a certain waifu of Nico's (for those of you who know who I'm talking about) which is another plus. And imagine Nico's reaction to the anime, I think it would be the light of almost (if not) every Picky Penguin's day. But hey, I'm cool with whatever choice he makes.

Thanks for the great LP, Nico! It was super fun watchin ya play through this since I never got around to playing Majora's Mask myself, and you made it a super enjoyable experience! As for the next LP, I'd really love to see you play Kid Icarus: Uprising sometime, it's a favorite of mine and I think you'd really enjoy it. Another game I think you'd enjoy and would make for a fun LP would be Bayonetta, fun hack and slash game with pretty fun characters. Outside of that, I'm along for the ride, hope you'll consider these recommendations but I look forward to whatever you choose regardless, thanks again!

Hey Nico congrats on finishing Majora's Mask definitely one of my favorite Zelda games up there with Wind Waker and BOTW and im glad you enjoyed it too. its strange and bizarre world mixed with interesting and compelling characters and story definitely set it apart from the rest of the series and gives it the charm its known for. If you are looking for something cool to LP next may I recommended Kid Icarus Uprising for the 3DS? It's this fantastic and funny game that blends flying shooting sections and on the ground action combat with funny and memorable characters that I think would be perfect to fill in the gap between now and Kingdom Hearts 3 because of its short length

I had always assumed the Sheikah stones were as useless as the first game, so i never read them and had to use a guide to figure it out. It blew my mind watching you figure everything out by the sheikah stones

Majora Mask has always been my favorite Zelda game. The story, gameplay, the music. The feeling that your always a moment to late. It all comes to a head to make my 4th favorite game of all time.

Majora Mask is such a great game and this was a amazing Lp I had a blast beginning to end. Majora is just a entertaining boss the pure embodiment of chaos which I can respect.

I just realized something. The kids you play hide and seek with look like the happy mask salesman, so now I’m under the impression that’s exactly what the kids are. The happy mask salesman knows about all of your masks, and you find a ton of stones with information on said masks when you play with them. Working off a previously mentioned theory of the HMS being a god, it explains why they know about them. If that’s the case, then it explains a LOT. How he knows about it, how he just vanished, why the kids ask if YOU are going to sell masks. This definitely makes the HMS gets so much more terrifying and amazing.

Thank you for playing this childhood classic Nico. It was a crazy ride.

I also want to mention two things... 1. Those rats with the bomb on the tip on its tail are called "real bombchu's", they even run on walls and blow themselves up. 2. If you look closely at the children running around inside the moon, you can notice that the kind of look like the Happy Mask Salesman as a child. This really makes you wonder his origins and his relation to Majora's Mask.

Nico, I don't comment often but thank you so much for this Let's Play! I started watching your channel when you played BOTW, and watched all 3 Zelda Let's Plays since then. Usually I don't watch long Let's Plays because of my rather stressful life with finals coming up, but I absolutely love yours and they often make my day. I've been on RU-vid for over 5 years now but rarely found someone as dedicated and sincere about their work here as you. Stay awesome :)

Man I really love this game *__* This was what inspired me to become a programmer^^ It was when I played it on an emulator and turned off the FPS limit in order to fast-forward. But in some areas that just didn't make a difference, so I thought to myself "Wow, they really pushed the engine to the limit! Well of course, look at all those plants and stuff" and then I started to notice the sheer amount of details they put into this tiny cartridge and compared it to Occarina of TIme and other n64 titles... there are so many unique areas and no corner looks like another, and all those cutscenes and events, stuff like the resolution of the wall textures in Clock Town, the motion blur effect, the npc time-schedule system, the fucking dragonflies casting a freaking shadow on the ground (not just a blob)!! etc. etc. etc... and all that when the era of 3d games just began a few years ago! It's simply amazing.

Honestly, I never thought I would like how dark this game was, but it's because things do not necessarily end in tragedy. Things are dark like how many things in life can become dark, but because of one player's choices, you can then shine light on people's lives, and it's so satisfying to see the darkness become light in the end.

I wish that they made Young Link's Final Smash made him use the Fierce Deity Mask; if feels like such a missed opportunity.

The bit you pointed out about the people not thanking Link and maybe not even realizing he saved them is really interesting and might come up in a future LP... but anyway thanks so much for this series Nico. Always fun to see how secretly dark Nintendo can be.

This was a great series, I really hope that the next Zelda game you play is WW or SS. Also, i'd love if you played Paper Mario or Kid Icarus Uprising

I would recommend checking out, tons of people did theories on how this game reflects the five stages of grief in their Places and locations. It is an interesting thing to look at. Denial- Clock Tower (Everyone refuses to believe the moon comes down) Anger- Deku Kingdom (the king blames a monkey for the missing princess) Bargaining- Snowhead (Darmani begs for his life) Depression- Great bay (Lulu losing her eggs and being sad) Acceptance-Ikana Canyon (Link finding it in a place of death with the light arrows and the elergy of emptyness) Tons of stuff spawned from this game to think about and theorize about. Thats one of the things that makes it so great. Also I look forward to what you play next.

It's the Dawn of a New Day, Nico! Well done :D I really would recommend reading the last chapter of the manga, now that you've finished the game, or even the entire thing, of you have the time; whereas the Happy Mask Salesman on the game is something of a Neutral-to-Good character, the manga depicts him in a different, interesting way that you might be interested to see... There's also a bonus manga chapter showing Majora's origins, as well! I wish I thought to suggest this before this final episode, but, ah well. Definitely a favourite LP for me. Looking forward to the next one :D

First of all, let me extend my deepest gratitude towards the Picky Penguins who persevered in suggesting this LP towards the channel for years. Much like Nico I had the wrong sort of impression of this game for the longest time based on the opinion of others who didn't have a positive experience with the game. But because the fans of Majora knew it's true merit and held on to a passionate belief that it would be something worth sharing towards the community here, I finally see what an amazing gem of a game it truly is, and how it equally matches to Ocarina and Breath of the Wild in it's own right. The Zelda series has been a fandom I've been growing fond of lately, and the more I watch them on this channel, the stronger my fondness for the franchise grows. I can only look forward to when the next Zelda game will be played on this channel.

This truly was one of the best series I’ve ever watched, Nico. This was always on the top of my list for you to play through and you Did. Not. Disappoint. Even as I’ve played through this game so many times, I’ve learned so many new things about it with this play through, your attention to detail is honestly so impressive. I don’t think I’ve seen a better Majora’s Mask playthrough ever. Thanks Nico, and I can’t wait for what’s next!

So Nicob. You experienced Majora's Mask. Congrats! Your overall feelings is almost exactly what I hoped for. Honestly if this was a different time, things would be different to an extent. Well I think if they modern up the dungeons and bosses, I think you would have enjoyed this game especially more. I say that because your reaction was similar to the ocarina of time. You like the lore, but the mechanics it seems more or less good.

The power of the fierce deity is NOT to be underestimated, it’s power is both terrifying and awe inspiring at the same time. It is the mask of both a destroyer and a creator. I seriously love this mask and theories behind it.

I'd like to see Kid Icarus Uprising or Trails in The Sky next, since they are both short games, though Trails is probably the longer on two. (It also went on sale on steam too, so it's the perfect opportunity for anyone thinking of trying it) Regardless I'm sure it'll be very fun and I can't wait to see what it is. MM has been a very fun ride, and it'll be somewhat sad to say goodbye to Kokichi Link.
