Class 377/3 (rare 6 car acceleration) 

To any Electrostar fans!!...
these are indeed a odd variety of cute little electrostar units, they were manufactured to have power restricted below that of a 4 car, which doesent make sense since the 3 cars are almost 40 tons lighter and would likely cost alot less stress on the power supply to get them to reach optimal power.
But that being said they don't actually seem so bad, either that or they were potentially "repowered" to accelerate better recently? they were never this good before hand from my experience. (also drivers seem to be sluggish on the throttle so that may be why they seem slow at times .."cmon drivers wheres the enthusiasm of blasting a train out the station!??!")
anyways ,weirdly enough, they are sluggish off the mark, but very good at eating through 40mph and 50mph like it's cake. So they seem to have great mid - high speed acceleration!! I'm glad they get to be on their own and not paired with other sub classes like the /4 snd /1s etc. just pure little 3/6 car goodness
Most 377/3s can be now found on the "East Croydon via tulse Hill loop" or "Beckenham jnc via tulse Hill, my local "southern" suburban line.
all in all around 50mph in 49 seconds. similar to an 8 car 377.
