In this class learn to make a beautiful Kaftan dress or top. You will also learn shirring that is sewing with elastic thread in the bobbin to give shape at the waist and using the free motion embroidery foot [shown in the next class]. Before watching this class please watch our Class 1- taking body measurements and Class 2 -Drafting basic body sloper and also our class on finishing the neckline with bias strips.

Hi thanks for the lovely tutorial. I spent two hours on my machine with no luck. I did all sorts of things possible. The upper thread stitches well for few stitches then starts to skip stitches. Any tips on how to rectufy it and successfully smock ? I tried adjusting tension. Stitch length - 3.5. nothing helped. What could be wrong.

No problem with your English and stop thinking it is bad. It is just a language. As you converse more in English, you will get better :-) Are you referring to the cloth that you put in the embroidery hoop? Mam I have a doubt that is an over size person gave me a maxi for alteration and her actual measurement of armhole is 9 and chest is 26 But when I give d same measurement on alteration maxi it won't suite as actual that is when I give 9 for armhole the chest becomes 22 and if chest 26 becomes armhole is to be 10.5 I am totally confused that which part should take more important whether the armhole or chest I hope u will clarify it thank u☺️

Hi, I am not very clear about your question but if you are looking to reduce the armhole you may shift the chest line up without changing the chest round measurement.
