Class 60 on freight at Barnham West Sussex, Trains after dark

Located between Chichester and Ford home of the legendary Gaugemaster shop and serving Bognor Regis and Littlehampton is my home station of Barnham.
Freight trains are rare these days so when my good friend Paul who works for DC Rail told me he would be bringing a class 60 locomotive from Southampton up yard to Willesden DC Rail sidings, with the 6Z93 working I decided to venture out this evening and capture it on video for you all.
Joined by a small group of friends we were not disappointed.
To begin the video we see some 377s and 313s going about their business at Barnham station.

Hi mike, always enjoy your movie content, this looks like a refurbed 60, I did read somewhere a number 60s where going to be refurbished to extend their life, remember them fondly on the south ruislip, Calvert, binliner as we use to call it

Reason for routing this way was driver availability. I was the only available as both drivers for the normal route were on leave, so I came off of desk duties and ran this to get the rake back to Willesden. I understand from correspondence that this may be the first time a 60 has been run up the Arun Valley, a first for me anyway. :D

Hi. I was at Fareham for this so you may have seen me on the platform getting pictures and filming with my camcorder on a Tripod. I believe this was the first 60 through Chichester and up the Arun Valley line since 60056 back in July 2015, 60056 worked an engineers train from Eastleigh to Earlswood via Barnham and returned via the PDL (Purley to Eastleigh Yard) in the morning. Still a 60 along this route is as rare as hens teeth so seeing you drive 60055 this way on Thursday night was a very welcome surprise!

Nice video Mike ! I live next to a railway, just at the end of my small garden (really bad location for radio by the way), and we see lots of freight trains overhere, and they can make some noise indeed :-/ Best 73 ! Patrick
