Welcome to another Class 66 Cab Ride video. This video was filmed some time in 2014.
Today's service takes 66044 as 6M38 from Hull King George Dock Coal Pad to Sudforth Lane sidings.
After departing the coal pad, we cross over the weighbridge to weigh off the train at 3mph and then stop to lower the level crossing barriers. We then continue to the departure stop board at the security gates cabin (you can hear the radio communication with permission being granted to make move whilst under the control of the docks PIC).
After departing, we set our journey in motion towards Hull Swing bridge and after that we then pass over Springbank North and Springbank South junctions before our service pauses at Hessle Road Junction.
After here, we head West on the Hull to Selby line and continue past the Humber Bridge and various stations and signal boxes to Gilberdyke where we deviate towards Goole.
After passing through Saltmarshe and over the river Humber swing bridge at Goole, we head on to the single line towards Rawcliffe and Hensal. Stopping momentarily at Snaith to activate the AOCL crossing and then we continue.
After passing Hensal and Whitley Bridge stations, we are routed in to Sudforth Lane Sidings where our journey ends.
This video was filmed with permission and all relevant safety procedures followed. The video was allowed to be made and published due to the historical relevance of the working, signalling systems and the declining freight traffic.
