I Love you guys. I dont have much to look forward to these days, but I always look forward to watching Matts RV reviews. Matt, dude youre hillarious but you know your stuff and I know everyone in the RV industry respects you. And you guys prove time and time again that Manufacturers really do listen and strive to make what the customer wants. a year ago NOBODY passed the prime pooping test. Now I see it all the time ! You even gave a class B a prime pooping position once. (the Patriot by American Coach) anyways, I feel like you guys are my family. I will keep dreaming of the RV life. Who knows. It might happen.
Look at Alan Heath from Europe and tell US manufacturers to use the Euro pull down from ceiling bed, convertible walls in baths to make them dry baths. Europe is centuries ahead and costs are not 200K
I think this is my favorite class B so far, I love how this has enough seating and space to be an everyday vehicle as well as a getaway RV. I wish the microwave was either convection or possibly as an air fryer. I actually like having the propane burners, maybe have it optioned for electric since there is 400w of solar. I love how the backseat is set-up and designed, plus you have 2 TVs with swing mounts.
I prefer a propane burner and not the induction as I’ve seen the glass breaking on different models. This is a dream coach. Anyone who can afford one, enjoy it in the best of health.
Nice, but the price is ridiculous !! My friend just bought a newer dodge van, low mileage & she's having someone build it out for her & it'll cost her around 40k & that's w/ the price of the van!! & a much better set up .... That's the way to go & you can design it ... There's lots of van builders our there too .... this price is just insane !!
1. Like a rear lounge!!! Especially electric 2. Like air ride 1. Front table needs to extend to include copilot's seat so you can use as dinette 2. Need to improve bath to dry bath.
We own a 2021. Nothing seems to be different in the 2022. I have to say the air ride suspension works for front to back leveling and we can manually fix this to our needs at a campsite. It really is wonderful for that. 👍 I love our microwave and absolutely adore the propane burners. Our last motor home had induction and I actually prefer the propane. One can buy a single burner induction burner to keep in a drawer if you prefer that. We love the refrigerator and freezer size and the blinds are a show stopper. I smile every time I push the cinema icon and accent lights come on and all the blinds close at once. So cool! I am not a fan of the bathroom and we do shower in there, unlike what Matt says. So, wiping it down afterwards is a pain. But, it is a class B and you can’t expect massive bathrooms. We often take it on day trips and have a great place to have lunch and a bathroom during these Covid times. We get roughly 18 mpg with the diesel and this is pretty good. We built shelves for the back that we like and also installed a headliner shelf.
Additionally, airstream really needs to consider a shelf that works or a medicine cabinet in that bathroom. We bought a suction aluminum shelf and a hook as there just is not anywhere to keep your disk and shampoo. Oh yes, we removed the massive soap dispenser so we would have room to turn around in there and plugged up the holes.
Theres a new super quiet a/c on the market. I know that Coachmen is using them in their Gallerias, and Beyonds and I think also American Coach is using them in their Class Bs. Theyre 2`0,000 BTU 12 volt. Ultra quiet. Whats up with Airstream Class Bs? no convection, only microwave, loud assed A/C. I definitely think Airstream needs an electric Class B. All they need to do is get rid of the propane by using induction cook tops. You have a compressor fridge. you dont even need propane. also they coulld get the ultra quiet onan GQ 2800 Generator. Or under the hood generator that will charge your lithum batteries AND run the A/C at the same time simply by turning on the engine. anyways Airstream could definitely step it up in the Class B part. Especiall for 200 grand.
I agree with most of your points about this 200 grand class b. I'm pretty sure that the Coachmen are the only ones that exclusively using the quiet a/c, the Proair Electrakool. With about 100 amps at 100F, (20,000 btu) the a/c is only 16.7 SEER, so not exactly the most efficient I've seen. Also, the Onan QG 2800 generator uses gas and the Mercedes chassis uses diesel. Plus, having to turn on the engine to use the alternator to charge the batteries kind of defeats the purpose of a quiet a/c. A better option would be to offer an upgrade that removes the generator and increases the lithium-ion battery capacity, which probably allow for the other upgrades like induction cooktops and a convection microwave.

When 5th place means nothing. Air streams are beautiful and well built but I'm afraid they're just a little out of my price range And I don't know if I'm rated down size yet though the air stream is tempting
Thanks Matt and Eneida for another great RV review! Matt I totally agree on the microwave being so nice I wish I had one at home but! For 204K it should have been a convection as well! I prefer to cook with gas but it’s so tiny in there an induction would not only look sleek but it would be safer. Then there’s the teeny bathroom and lumpy bed. I want to use my bathroom and be able to sleep in a comfortable bed! Come on Airstream! Love that it’s an Airstream and has that good looking cabinetry and aluminum ceiling! Love that size refrigerator for a B it’s huge! And last and most favorite that luxury drive! Wow! Super nice!
Nice Van! love the layout with the table at the front in the cockpit, but add another laguna table stand for the passenger so they don't have to share a small table! lol, the reason why I say this is because I owned one similar to this and having the front part of the coach as a place to eat and watch tv is a bonus! Mine didn't have that option (very sad) but the couch at the back was so uncomfortable we had to add a mattress topper just to sleep, and looking at that couch well I can see it is not comfortable to sleep on as well lol, but yes you guessed it having that mattress topper meant leaving the bed in a bed configuration. so hence front of the coach area is a bonus! nice touch to the automation having one touch from a phone to control everything is a bonus. If I was to add one thing to that coach it would be a tv on the space just inside the door beside the screen! with TVs being so thin I would invert it in that space so I could pull it out invert back to watch it, making it a nice outside entertainment system. Just saying!
Yes, I’m aware the “Airstream” brand adds to the price. Yes, I know dealer price is (a little) less. If I had $200k for a class B and was seriously considering this unit: more outdoor storage, skip the toilet sink (use kitchen), set up wet bath for shower curtain to be separate from toilet and bulge into hallway. Bed is fine but would prefer lift bed with eat/work area below, then skip front Lagoon. This gives more space for wardrobe, fridge, or bathroom. Wish one cabinet was pull-out pantry. Definitely add convection. If back area made to work/eat area, add extra storage underneath. Also, flip down and flip up tables near sliding doors: enjoy outdoor coffee and enjoy long kitchen counter without taking permanent space. What are tank capacities? Auto temp control? Is propane for fridge, stove AND generator? Also, portion for more lithium and ability to max out solar to cover top. Otherwise, it’s great.
@@LibbyRal Good point most people would agree have a usable shower and a porcelain toilet the sink in their is not necessary as you lose valuable shower space. Look at Americans now no way those people will fit in shower Matt struggled to get in only tiny people could use it.
Dang nice Van with some cool things other vans don’t have. Love the built in screen in front and back. But I saw a leisure travel van that has a rear lounge as well as a front lounge which turns into a bed (Murphy Bed) I believe it’s a slide out. Also has a dry bath. And lower price. Trying to convince the hubby. Lol.
@@MattsRVReviews this might sound weird but since I basically know very little about camping and especially vanlife I would love for my husband and I to be able to travel with someone and have them show us the ropes. A couple days or more so as to get comfortable filling water tanks and how often as well as emptying tanks, leveling, a/c usage, battery usage, converter etc...it’s all so foreign. I know you can rent a camper but that’s still just throwing us out into nomans land. Wish they had something out there like that. Rent a couple and a camper. Lol
@@beverlyomalley6994 Having owned a beautiful Citation travel trailer in the past, I agree it can be intimidating for anyone new to RV/camping lifestyle to learn everything that's necessary. Having a program like you described & camping at a campground, state park & lastly off grid makes excellent sense & would avoid many costly mistakes/errors & damage to new RVs. It's a great business opportunity for someone with the knowledge & experience. 👍
For boondocking, we love propane cooktops. I do however agree that there should be a microwave/convection oven. I hadn't seen the new one yet & it's really beautiful. I love the automatic shades, as well.😊❤️
I love the screens, counter space/drawer microwave and the pantry. I dislike the bed buttons being up front and, as you said, the lack of a convection oven and an induction burner or two.
the price is ridiculous,for that price I'd expect to have the shower to be able to be used anytime i wanted. and the microwave should be a confection oven as well. so that's my 3 dislikes, price, shower, and microwave. as for all the rest think its really nice.
Likes: Drawer microwave is much easier to use when located under the counter, full height refrigerator and bottom freezer, lockable covers on the outside connections. Dislikes: Front windshield shades are not permanently mounted or electric, generator location, and lithium battery location.
Too much money for what you get. There could be a better step stair, and possibly, a grab handle for those who are not so steady on their feet. The automatic shades are great 👍
Love this airstream, agree with your 3 likes and dislikes, great job Anita! Awning is nice and I love that the shades go down at the same time and that the back screen goes down before you even step out of the coach!
Great video guys, but, the bed is an issue as well as the tiny bathroom with a plastic toilet, I would recommend them to put a mini-slide in it just for the bathroom to increase the shower area and have enough room to use the toilet, also a porcelain toilet would be nice addition!
Just a few comments on this nice rig. I prefer propane stoves. If you are a chef or enjoy cooking gas is better than induction. I noticed all the curtains all go up and down at the same time. There are times I just want the back open or the sides open depending on where my van is parked. A convection/ microwave would be nice for baking too. Also noticed this rig is heavily depending on electricity to run almost everything. Maybe its just me but I can think of times where I ran out of propane camping. The propane generator would not work and the whole wan would be dependent on the solar. In an overcast day where the batteries were down you'd be stuck.
Having to polish your ceiling would be a weird chore. I think ducting the AC adds 4 to 6 inches to the height of an RV. Which in a B would mean dropping the ceiling 6 inches, and then even average height people have to crouch. I like how the shades are set back in the wall so no light can leak around the edges or bottom.
Great presentation! Agree with both your Dislikes and Likes. Storage is very limited with the outside basement. Wish that we saw the roof and the Solar Panels. Best, Steve from Western Mass.
Great for road trips with the crew. Equipped just enough for roadside breaks. Trimmed so “it doesn’t look like a FedEx truck.” also Like 7 pax seating, potty 🚽 that is better than a gas station. Don’t like that it is not all electric. Thank you for sharing and have a great day.
I would like to see two doors on the bathroom to give you a little more room if you need it when you are in it. A pop top option would be nice if you need the sleeping space,

Thanks for a great review on a great B van. Believe airstream is one of the top manufacturers, but always room for improvement. Love the size of the fridge and auto blinds as well as the floor plan. Agree with Matt that should be convection microwave and induction cooktop. Dump propane and generator and supersize lithium and inverter. Also have to switch out tires to Michelins. Air ride suspension a nice plus.
My wish would be a two way fridge so that you could be completely off grid. I would love the microwave to be convection but like this style. I love this model as I already told you Matt.
I was with the Interstate Grand Lounge from friends a couple days on 🇺🇸 west coast tour, it is a great quality van. I also drove a Revel and a Roadtrek SRT in the USA. They all have something special, but the Airstream Interstate is the most comfortable.
Just right for a single person. Matt PLEASE give her a 🎤, this is the second time that we have watched a video with her and have problems hearing her. For the video 👍👍
Agree with Matt regarding the microwave. For this price point it's ridiculous to have just the microwave & not the combination convection oven for broader use. Having a MOAB/elevator bed is another must for this price. Also why have seating with seat belts for so many more occupants than the RV can sleep; 7:2 ?

Matt, Love the Airstreams. I put a TRUMA AVENTA A/C. It's ultra quiet and very efficient. It cools well. I installed one on my camper. Better than that A/C on the interstate in every way. Airstream likes to outclass everyone I'm surprised they didn't use it here. Also coachmen's beyond uses a 12v quiet AC. Not sure how it cools but it's 20k but. Thanks Matt love the videos!
This is very well thought out and executed. It would be terrific for taking the grandkids on an adventure, or even just around town or to the beach. Great to have a place to cool off and have an emergency bathroom. It would also be terrific for loading up the guys and heading to Canada to go fishing - but you'd have to pull a little trailer with gear. For those activities, the microwave would be fine, and having the propane would allow us to carry a little grill. Now to find $200K.
I'd love it if it had a convection oven, and if the bed was fixed or on a lift so there is more storage under. It seems like such a waste to lose all of that space around the bed. I'm not sure that anyone is going to drive around with 7 people in a van that sleeps 2, or 4 if you're close friends.
I love this one. Matt don't be doggin the propane cooktop lol. I hate induction cooktops. My only 2 dislikes are no type of oven and the absorbent price. As a disabled person there is no way I could ever afford this. Why can't someone make an affordable class B so it could be more available to the average Joe? TFS

Propane wish it had zero propane (some bridges and tunnels by me do not even allow you on them if you have it) 2. Wish the bathroom door had like an extender so you can close the door and give a little more width for larger people 3. The air conditioner is pretty loud. I think driving down the road with the kids that air conditioner will make the kids put the volume on the TV so loud it might distract me from noises on the road. (I have seen some class B's have a much more quieter AC unit) That being said I would buy that tomorrow but because of the propane that limits me on certain Bridges and roads which can be an inconvenience on some road trips so I couldn't purchase it.
I would think those backseat conversions to bed would be terribly uncomfortable to sleep on. I would love to see more of the door that turns the toilet area into a shower. That idea is genius. Would be better to have a convection microwave.

Nice counter space, lots of inside storage, and power shades (hopefully individually activated too). I don't like the microwave, unprotected fresh water inlet, and is the toilet cassette? No mention of holding tank sizes.
Can u ďo a walk through with the Airstream GL 24 It seems like it can be used as a passenger van and used as a camper when needed Also does it come with a all wheel drive option?
Dislikes: 1. Doesn't seem to be 4 season. 2. Convection oven is a must at that price. 3. Price. Likes; 1. Power. Shades and rear lounge. 2. Fridge size (Interstate models have a smaller fridge) 3. Swivel seats/front area. I like that there is no bunk over the cab. I like that the two front seats swivel. 4. Goody bag??
I've had a significant list of quality issues with the Airstream Interstate side on my 2021 24GT. Mercedes has been great, Airstream, not so much. It's in for more electrical problems as I write this. It's been constant. As for the ride, it's terrible in back. I wouldn't recommend driving with passengers in back on rough roads.
I would like to have more buttons, less electronic screens - you could see that it took a while to find the right spot to get to … not all buttons don’t make sense, but some would be nice -/ just simplify… love a lot of the features.. great storage, agree 100% - on convection oven , and the propane Matt..super nice vehicle!!!

I am not sure about the quality of Leisure Van Unity series but their murphy bed floor plan is way, way better than this van and I am pretty sure it costs less.
Seems very tight in the hallway. Having 7 seat belts is nice, but would be impractical for a trip (doubt there is enough ccc for 7, and no outdoor storage for the necessary tents, as those folks wouldn't have sleeping space), and much too pricy for casual usage. For that price, I could get a minivan or suv, plus a class c.
I like this Air Stream van. It’s very nice. I like the oven wish it conventional oven but it’ll do. Love the refrigerator size. Wish the two burner was electric cook top. Now Matt, a Class B you can LIVE in? Sorry not possible, at least for me. That said, this is a REALLY nice Class B. Mercedes of course provides a great platform. And the MSRP is not bad when you look at other Class B's and Airstream makes a superb product. The propane cooktop is actually smart for dry camping, battery usage is key. You gotta love all the push button things.

I just bought a Winnebago Travato with the twin bed 59k this one's nice I love the kitchen but I would never spend $204,000 on something I had to make a bed every single night it seemed very enclosed and I have a porcelain toilet in my Travato and they use plastic on a $200,000 motorhome come on
