✅ About jlwii2000:
When I started my channel I did not choose a catchy name because I did not think that I would be a major model railroading video source one day, so I apologize for the strange name. My channel has a variety of info about Model Railroading in many scales, primarily HO scale. I try to respond to everyone's questions to help them along with their journey. Overall, I hope my relaxed yet descriptive approach to modeling will assist those new and old in this great hobby. - James

I love the 86' boxcars in HO scale. I wanna 86' boxcars in N scale. 22" and 24" curves for 86' boxcars.

Very impressive and handsome fleet of auto parts 86 ft boxcar models and I am a huge fan of these types of cars. I definitely plan to purchase some of these cars in the future when I have my funds in order, and the roadnames that I am personally most interested in are the Santa Fe, Illinois Central and the Pennsylvania rr (PRR).

Love these Auto parts cars , but the track curve needed to make them run and look nice is so large but that's just the way it is ... absolutely beautiful cars , details are of the charts. Cheers thanks for sharing..

Hi James, Great review! I got the heavy duty depressed center flat cars by Class One Model Works and I like them overall, but was somewhat disappointed in them removing the air hoses or metal pin that hangs off the couplers. How would you rate these 86' boxcars compared to Tangent Scale Models 86' boxcars?

these are still in pre order status but coming really soon. These specific cars were just a few of the first production models.

In later years (late 80's+) , both types of door configurations were used by GM.

Do you find many newly-released cars from modern day manufacturers that do not fit the NMRA wheel gauge? Can you remember the worst car you've ever reviewed that fell way short of NMRA standards?
@jlwii2000
@jlwii2000 4 месяца назад
I hardly find any out of gauge, I can't remember the last time I did. It's been at least a few years.

Wonderful that manufacturers have learned how to produce faithful models that fall within spec of the NMRA wheel gauge (rendering that part of the gauge useless). Now if only they could release models that don't fall apart in your hands or arrive broken in the box, (cough, Rapido)

Great cars! Your layout is looking really good. One question though, why don't you paint your track?
