CLASSIC 80s HIP HOP JAM | ROLAND TR8S 

Hahaha thank you!! I was unsure if anyone besides me would actually be interested in this. I don't see too many folks using this drum machine to produce anything close to Hip Hop, but I know for sure the original Tr808 was a huge part of hip hop in the 80s. This machine isn't a gigantic jump from the tr808, and that hip hop sound from the 80s can be replicated with this drum machine. Anywho, thanks for watching!! 🙏🏾🙌🏾⚡

@@DiyannaMonet exactly - that’s what I was thinking ... not to mention the ability to add your own samples and create drum patterns combining the Roland sounds with whatever dope hip hop samples you want to load in. I actually found only one more video where a guy demonstrates how to get that J Dilla drunken swung style on this Machine and that was very useful and interesting as well. It’s going to be a main weapon in my arsenal for Hip Hop production... I find I can bang out much more complicated rhythms on machines like this than what I can do on a basic pad controller. I was able to emulate the Close Edge by Mos Def beat to a T... and I don’t know that I could’ve done that on my MPC. Also amazing for any Beastie Boys, Run DMC, LL Cool J, Rakim inspired stuff as you demonstrated.
