Carnitas literally means "little meats", and is a dish of Mexican cuisine that originated in the state of Michoacán. Authentic carnitas are made by braising or simmering pork in oil until tender.
Ingredients:
2-3 Pounds Pork Shoulder (Cut into chunks)
½ Orange
3 Cloves Garlic
1 Small Onion
3 Bay Leaves
1 Cinnamon Stick
Vegetable Oil
Salt & Pepper
Add enough oil to fill gaps.
Cover and bake in air fryer at 265 F. for 3 hours (of until tender).
Let cool, then shred for tacos and sear in cast iron skillet.
