About This Video -
In this video I take a Bronica ETRS with Foma 400 and a Nikon F5 with Orwo UN54 to a classic car show in hope of getting some photographs I can frame without any distraction of people, flags, reflections, other car and hard sun glare. It's not easy! But fun!

bit of a dry spot lately with photography and finally feel the urge again after several months. in the time that photography hasn't been on my mind and therefore in my RU-vid feed, your darkroom has turned out super slick!

A very warm tone series of prints, even after disabling f.lux! Consider a dip into selenium toner, or not.

I find these videos where you go into your mindset of each composition to be very helpful. I struggle at times with composition, so hearing and seeing how a good photographer works them out is useful.

The car at 5:58 is a 1960 Chevy Impala. 1970 Dodge Charger at 6:09. The Pontiac at 6:34 looks like a 1971 Catalina. The Buick looks like a late 60s Wildcat. The Mustang at 6:43 looks like a 1965.

@@ShootFilmLikeaBoss Just subscribed. Learning a lot for my plunge into developing and making prints. Just to clarify - the Charger at 6:09 is a '68. Thin chrome trim around the perimeter of the grill with the bumper and two nerf bumperettes (not seen in this pic) under the grill area. The '70 Chargers only had a thicker bumper around the entire grill and a chrome divider strip that ran left to right across the grill.

I saw that little Ford Escort tucked in out of the way there! I've never really been a fan of big American cars, give me a little British pocket rocket any day. Excellent images mate, good tonal range (difficult with chrome) although lacking a good solid black in some. You've done a good wall-worthy day's work there! More please :)

I saw an interesting video once where there was a quite large print and there was a gentleman whose job was to touch up the print and he had specialized inks and brushes all fine tipped. He was able to touch up tiny spots and blend them in perfectly. It kind of makes sense when you consider the cost and effort in making very large prints and then finding tiny issues here and there. Dust and other problems are physical things and have physical effects. I cannot recall where I saw the video but is was interesting.

There used to be tons of American cars going cheap in East Anglia with all the American airbases. The yanks would fly their car over, discover that the cost of fuel over here was four times as much as in the States and trade them in for a Ford Mondeo. Yanks driving boring reasonably priced cars and Norfolk Pig Farmers driving Mustangs. My village has a vintage bus rally every couple of years at the terminus garage. Its funny really, you go for a trip in an old charabanc like a tourist around the country roads you drive everyday, normally cursing that you've got stuck behind the bus. The only difference between me and the bus nerds is I'm shooting cameras that are older than some of the buses.

I agree. However I think French Peugeot is doing a good job here. Their cars are standing out of the crowd - e.g. Cactus. And other models too.

03:55 Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! Disney movie from the 1960s. It ties back in to photography too. In the opening sequence, there's a photographer taking pictures of car racers, using what looks to be an 8x10. (Sorry, 10x8 on your side.) There is no way he got a photograph by doing what he's doing. All the things he does are legit, but not the way he does it. It's hard to tell if everyone making the movie was clueless, or if the director simply wanted something that looked good to the unwashed masses. Thanks for another great video!

(3:30) Who never heard about the legendary Volks Wagen Transporter, he didn't live. The first model was introduced in the 1950, both as a small bus and as a camper wagon, but it wasn't till 1960's when hippie culture made it worldwide famous... (4:19) Jaguar E-type? (6:05) Volks Wagen Bug (VW Käfer) Pity you didn't say which lenses did you used on your F5. 50mm only? Great photographs do...
