Classic Dirt Bike TV "AJS Stormer 250 Red Devil" 

Very nice to see this Stormer, never had one but my big brother raced both 250 and 410 models. From memory they couldnt quite match the CZ and Husqvarnas of the day, the latter was in particular the finest motocrosser of the time, but i would love to throw a leg over one !

Alloy tanks sure set a bike off. Another beautiful example of incredible engineering back in the day! LOVE IT!!!

A well thought out design...all business no plastic fluff.

A very pleasing design and surprisingly modern for its' day. I love the beauty of an alloy tank and not having plastic everywhere with half the worlds known supply of stickers. The swingarm is almost like a Maico in its design. I would bet that having no silencer on the pipe, when the engine started it would rip the lining out of your ears. Ahh.....the good old days.

I love this old cherry bike . Wish I still had my Bultaco 250 persang . It was cherry when I got it from my brother-in-law. I never heard of this brand but it a nice vintage bike .

Had a FB, ajs in 1978. There were never many of these on the scramble scene. mine came from Stormer Mx in Ross on Wye . Be nice to see a 78 model. Alloy tank, shouldered akront rims, silver frames with big white side panels and stadium mudguards. they were the model between this one and the older y designated models.

I almost purchased the road going version in the late 70's early 80's.,but got an XT 250 instead.........'cos the AJ local dealer was 40 miles away and never had one in stock..

Absolutely beautiful example of British bikes at the end of their battle against the Japanese invasion ! Now we have the Chinese A.J.S. imports, a sad reality for many famous old brands. It is imperative we keep as many of these originals around as is possible last we forget how things were built well and made to last !!! Very rare in my area of the U.S.
