While I can appreciate your skill and interest in this project, I'm wondering why it was ever started. Unless someone ponied up the cash for new parts, and paid you to do the work, I can't see where this made any economic sense at all. At this point, you have several times the original cost of the bike in a ride with average components and a mediocre frame, at best.

I do not like. You had a classic from the early 70's and you did it somehow. The old fenders had to be renewed, the rims had to be nickel plated, the brakes had to be rusted, etc. and it would have been an extraordinary appearance. Well, that's a pity for the bike for you
