Storm Bay was built by noted Hobart boat builder, Perc Coverdale. For George Bridge. Primarily a sailing vessel she was fitted with an open wet-well to keep fish alive.
What a great story of sea life, what a great thing he done for the family. A lot of guys in cluedea ing myself would not have made the change. Sea life and fishing story stayed with him .l would like to visit wooden boats show in Tasmania. The smell of the boats from a boy and my dad building them always stayed with me. LOL, loved the story of the storm bay they are almost a living thing.. TANK YOU.
Well done Gary (again!). You continue to compile one of the most valuable archives of stories, footage and interviews with "hard case's" I have ever seen. Being so relatable, I regularly re-watch quite a few of your past videos.
Thank you Gary. Excellent content as usual. Jim was a pleasure to listen to when he phoned the local ABC radio to add and offer comment. A wise and interesting gentleman..
Still catching up on your stories Garry. Thank you. Feel very privileged to have made 2 trips down and up the Tasmanian coast on the Storm Bay. A treasured memory. Thanks Tim
