@@scarletrose8766 Yup they really messed up! They even shoved PUKE inside the box to make it smell AWFUL! Just run away from it and don't mention its name my dudes.
the enhanced port for this game coming out this year looks awesome. the soundtrack is more crisp, fully voice acted, artwork cleaned up and more story :)
i just finished the game and completed everything 236/236 for 42 hours (i know it took me look) but it was one of my top 3 best RPG I evered played.. the storyline was very detailed, unique and interesting. Japanese game developers really know their stuff
i must congratulate you on such a well tended site! whenever ah wanna know about a game(usually action RPGs, Shooters, or Just good dialogue)if i dont type in Your site... it usually already suggest you. please, keep up the good WORK!?!
After many an age of looking for this game, my local game store finally had a copy of this today!!! It was used, it didn't have the case, but I didn't give a crap. I'm just glad I finally get to play this one. I know I could have gotten it from Amazon or something, but I have issues about buying stuff online.
Is it good? I was lucky enough to have it shipped from a gamestop 30 miles away to a closer one and am now waiting for it to arrive. For the longest time whenever I tried looking for it on their sight it was always not in 100 miles of my location.
@yuriatayde Not quite like that... But when you go back you may do different choices than you did previously or just because you know more about what is ahead you can choose better options.
Just got this game and its great so far. the combo system is so rewarding when you can pull off 5+ combos. the best ive gotten so far was 9 combos, but thats because im just barly lvl 12 atm. the game is very sleek, fast, and extremely easy to pick up. i recommend getting this game if your in a rpg mood. definitely great game.
"Rewind time and try again, but then you have to go through a bunch of cutscenes. So you might as well get it right the first time." Pressing start allows you to skip entire cutscenes and dialog, to the point where the story becomes nothing but choosing options.
I finally beat this game. Tried to make the experience last as long as possible, because in all honesty the story got me into it so badly that I didn't want it to end. This is easily my favourite game of all time, and it needs so much more attention than it's getting.
When Mark said "Radiant Historia!" at the end it sounded very half-hearted which I feel was appropriate. I challenge anyone to say, "Radiant Historia!" with authentic gusto.
I'm playing through this game right now, and its really fun. One aspect I like about Radiant Historia is its challenge. Its not a game you can just breeze through, you have to put a lot of thought into your moves before you make them. PS. Free tip for you, Aht sucks.
@flamecrysta I like Crono Trigger, Earthbound, and Crystal Cronicles. I thought maybe this would be good but i was horribly horribly wrong. Basically, for me, the game better be DAMN good if it's a jrpg. To be honest, that's any game that isn't a bullet hell shooter. :)
This game is super rare now days. It goes for over $70 new on amazon. I did a search at my local game stores and there was only 1 store that had a new copy in all of southern CA. I bought that sucker!.
this game is awesome. i cannot emphasize that enough. great story, interesting battles, great time-travel gimmick. just great! i just wish it wasn't on the ds, cuz that means i have to lug another handheld around with me.
I've been looking forward to this game then it cam out and I spent my money on Dead Space 2 simply because its so hard to stick to playing a DS game sometimes but this review tells me I should try to get it soon.
This is a pretty good RPG, even if I'm gettting bored of them. Atlus is an awesome company, and companies that develop games such as Nintendo, SEGA, Square Enix, and other major companies that release RPG games should take note of the remarkable feats they've done.
So I heard the time thing before but I didn't know it was turned based with a grid system. Don't think a game has ever really made good use of it but I'd be willing to try. But the game really does look visually boring to me. And not because its 2D, but because the design just doesn't stand out.
You can skip all the cut-scenes, so there's no penalty for choosing a "wrong" course of action. Also, I just beat the game after 54 hours and let me tell you: definitely the best story I've ever played through, and the gameplay is nothing to scoff at either.
I had the choose between this and secret of mana (because the were the same price at the store) and i picked this Hopefully I mad the right choice haha
Just ordered this game can't wait to play it! I loved Chrono Trigger but there is a game I love more and that is SUIKODEN II, it totally owns Chrono Trigger sorry
Hey, I'm wondering if I should get this game or not. I'm tied between wanting to save up for CTDS on Ebay, MegamanZX and this game. What is the thing in this that makes this the "best RPG ever for the ds?" And would you think that it would be better than Chrono Trigger?
I love this game. and I literally only have ONE gripe about it, and that is that there is no map. I get lost easily, and the locations are rather big, so I ended up going in circles a lot. 9.999999/10
Such a marvelous game, totally recommendable :) It has become one of my favorite RPG along with Golden Sun and Final Fantasy VI (sorry for the bad english).
Its a very good game, with my only issue being that combat gets stale. Unfortunately due to the pricing and rarity of the game, I had to download my copy and play it off of my DStwo, sorry Atlus.
Fyi you didn't go over a lot of parts of the battle system. You covered most of it and one part is treading into spoilers, but you didn't go over the combo system or the "ultimate move" system. Combo system is basically smacking the same enemies over and over again which gives you more gold, xp, and for every level the combo goes up your attacks get a little more powerful, but will noticed most often when you get a "brilliant" level.
It's a nice game and all with a nice combat system but it gets repetitive. While RPGs are repetitive, the lack of more different types of enemies and the fact that the same tactic almost works every time makes kinda boring
@eedobaba7726 Japanese Role Play Game. There often known for turn base combat, crazy hair, and sometimes really confusing stories. Not all of them are like that, ecspecially not a game from Atlus. Final Fantsy 7 is the best idea of a JRPG, but Pokemon in my opinion is the best JRPG.
@StainIessChina ah, you must be talking about FF1 for gameboy? i remember that game. it was kinda similar to the time travel in radiant historia. 1992 or'93 i believe.
DoctorShroom With range and recharge rates to consider, a delay, and the AI cheats. Plus, your rock won't beat the enemy's scissors unless you've properly micromanaged your fleet.
you should do a review on Final fantasy Crystal Chronicals for the Gamecube that game is so damn fun multiplayer is messed up though but when me and my friend had got it going it is so fun
This game is almost Out-of-print. Atlus isn't ordering more runs and GameStop has it sold out nearly everywhere. Buy it now while you can before it goes up to $300 and up on Amazon.
