Classic Game Room - TIGER GAME.COM POCKET PRO review 

Not gonna lie, I really like the G.CPocket Pro from an aesthetic standpoint.

When new, the screens really weren't that bad. They weren't great either, but games could be played pretty well. I had one and enjoyed it quite a bit. It had a lot of features that were ahead of its time, and when everyone was a playing A Game Boy or Game Gear, it was oddly satisfying playing a very different, very uncommon system.

That light option......I NEALY DIED, i think i hurt something laughing.

My father once called me a Game.com when I was small. Now I know why...

If you think the GameCom was a bad game system, then y'all are going to hate the Tiger R-Zone.

I don't think the system in of itself was bad, rather the games and lack of serious support was bad. I remember my friend having it and at the time, a touchscreen alone was a novelty as was the dual cartridge slots. It was thin, light and easy to take with you, for the price it had potential, just not the support the Gameboy had back then. Likewise, it could be said the GameGear or Lynx had potential but they were too expensive.

I had one of these and a good amount of games for it. I kinda miss it...

I ALWAYS wanted one of these as a kid, once I found out Resident Evil 2 was on it. How cool would that be to play RE2 anywhere was all I cared about (if only I knew it ran games at like 1fps). I'm glad I never got the chance to be disappointed by this as a christmas/birthday present, lol.

The intro is very nostalgic

To be fair, the light did work better back when the system was new, at least it did on mine. If I remember right, it was similar to the lights used on those indiglo watches. That was the only pocket pro to have a light too. They released them in a bunch of colors without a light.

You just crushed a giant portion of land right next to me with a portable game system. Congrats.

Everyone overreacts and thinks this system is the worst ever made... It's not. It was really daring. I actually have one and like it. Not as much as my Gameboy advance... But it still doesn't deserve the hate it gets.

James reviewed the game.com (which Mark has already reviewed in the past btw), this is the game.com pocket pro which is a different model of the game.com console. And since Mark reviews everything, obviously some of the games/consoles he reviews will intersect with what other online game shows/reviewers cover

Glad I only ever had lights out for my game.com.

Did alot of times but still no luck but I waited for 15 minutes or so then the other resolution became available.

I think Tiger took the Game.Com screen and put them on the VideoNow disc player system. But they made it smaller, and worse.

I actually liked it. I had the original version along with Res Evil 2 and Duke Nukem and a couple more. Had fun with Duke though to be honest

You'd think they could have made the screen sharper at least. The Gameboy pocket had that and was much sharper with a longer battery life than the first one.

Seems yours has a dead light. I just got one of these for my handheld collection since I wanted to include an example of a bad handheld, and mine has a fully functioning....green light. It also has a row of dead pixels, but oh well.

I sadly still own the original CIB and the pocket pro w/ the light (since they made colored pocket pros w/ out the light feature) and several wretched games :/

Actually the best way to enjoy a gamecom is to hang it from the nearest tree and shoot it with a high powered air rifle, real life graphics and sounds effects, awesome.
