Twisted Metal 1 was my first game on a console. Though I'm 31, I didn't get a console till rather late. My OG gameboy was my love besides the family PC

spongebelt i twisted 2 more because enemies die faster. in tm black it takes like 30 missiles to kill anyone. i like how in tm2 if youre a good player you can destroy someone in 5 seconds, takes way too long in black

I had Twisted metal 3 and 4 I still have one of them but the disc is cracked. I remember launching a shitload of ricochet bombs and they would bounce around the levels. In one of the games there were voice clips and they were hilarious. I wish I still had it so I can extract the voice clips.

amazeing vehicluler Combat and the story in the first 2 games is great Tm 3 and 4 are Outsourced to a different team and definetly not as good but The only must play one is tm 2

Twisted Metal 2 had the best original music and story endings. The best time I had playing Twisted Metal anything was while going through the various NG+ redos in TM4 with Super Thumper.

I think TM2 had a better soundtrack in my opinion, but TM2 fixed a lot of the flaws TM1 had.

Should check out the first twisted metal game! That game is so hard compared to this one. I bought it out of curiosity in the late 90's to see how the series started. It also has a totally different feel. Enjoyable in its own right. The best part of these games was you could put them in your cd player and listen to the music! I would listen to this, twisted metal 3, test drive off road (awful game but great sound track), and jet moto all the time on long trips.

I sold my Sega CD and newly purchased N64 to buy a used ps1 after playing it, so many memories of stoned split screen Vs and co-op. Best game of the series, followed by the original and Small Brawl. My friend kept a CD of the soundtrack in his car back in the day just in case we ever got into a high speed chase.

In 1998, they were about the same value and no one wanted a Sega CD so trading them in for a ps1 with memory card, 2 controllers, and a used copy of this game sounded like a decent deal when Video Game Exchange offered it to me so I took it and am glad I did.

Nice, I never knew that. Will have take my TM2 disc out to my truck in the morning and give it a try. Only copy I have though is a bootleg burnt on a CD-R around '99 since someone snaked my original official game in college but I had a mod-chip already so I wasn't paying to replace it.

Yeah i played it a lot also , Pyro was my favorite. Great graphic, soundtrack and gameplay . I also remember old hag tourist that always says when you picked her up " Let's go Buster" , haha good old days . Sadly no more games like that are produced.

I used to always play Twisted Metal with my sister, play station 3 and 4 were already out but we were fine with this one. I liked it a lot so I really didn't mind. I had forgotten the name and all after the PS1 stopped working. I am so glad that I found the name of the game that I enjoyed playing so much😄😄

A classic videogame, of course. It's surprising just how choppy the framerate is. Sony got away with murder in those days (just ask Sega). We sure could use more car combat games today. Where's the PS4 sequel?

One of My favorites, until Twisted Metal PS3, not enough characters, and the whole factions thing is stupid, the online idea is alright and factions would be ok there, but the wacky characters with their crazy stories is part of what makes it great, I'm ok with the drive any vehicle thing, just it needs more characters to go through their stories, 2 and Black are probably the best, but even 3 and 4 aren't bad, Small Brawl is fun, don't remember head on, What We need is a kick ass Sweet Tooth game, the more grusome serial killer clown part though, dunno if it would have anything to do with Twisted Metal though
