In real life, this area was popular at this time for the launching of parasailers from the sheer cliffs. Ironically, at 2:16 we're looking directly down on the actual house which was used for years as the home that Magnum P.I. lived in, during the run of the hugely popular 1980s CBS Hawaii-filmed series that followed this first iteration of "Five-0".
No episode of 5-0 would be complete without McGarrett squealing his tires. I still love this show, despite the fact that I have seen most episodes of the series, many times on DVD. I am not a fan of many of the episodes past season five, which I consider the best season of the series, despite Kono being gone. I loved him. He was so funny. I saw one episode of the 11th season and that was enough for me.
@JLFan 1 ==THANKS!!! Well it,s about time McGARRETT sported a RED NECKTIE with HIS NAVY BLUE SUIT!!!! Much later episodes mainly from 1977 and up HE went a bit more COLORFULL but still conservative,!!!! Thanks once again and KEEP THESE 5 0 CLIPS COMING!!!!!-☆☆☆☆☆ 5 star award for this HAWAII FIVE 0 CLIP!!!!!!
Does anyone understand why Five-0 was always dressed in suit and ties? When you are chasing and fighting bad guys, a suit and tie is not the best athletic wear, especially those cheap polyester suits of the 1970's
Back in the day anyone but a beat cop would be in a suit. If you watch older shows like Dragnet, you will also see that also. It was a different time. People would get dressed up to go see a doctor even. Don’t know how old you are, but I am a baby boomer and I miss when people cared about things more than today. Thank you for watching.
