This holds up so much better than a lot of the older XM statues. I still have yet to find a better comic 1/4 Iron Man that isn't just ripped from the MCU style. Also, I wish XM would stick to the smaller footprint. Love it on the new Thing. I hate having to use an entire Moducase for one statue's base.
That Iron Man statue is absolute perfection!!! The paint job, the battle damage isn't too crazy, the armor is sick, and the unmasked portrait is crazy accurate to comics!!! Hope u buy it Gem💎
Yea it’s one of the best Iron Man statues that I’ve seen, probably the best. Don’t see many Iron Man statue reviews. The Tony portrait is pretty good too, not the best I’ve ever seen, Griffith is currently my favourite portrait, absolutely love it.
It’s also in very good shape. I really like it. Thanks for sharing! I’ve got the Sideshow one where’s he’s blasting off and shooting a missile. I think that’s the best modern one but this is a classic one so I’d probably get it too for the right price.
Great looking piece love the paint job on the armor. That black rocky base makes the sentry’s metallic finish pop really well too. That’s definitely a keeper.
I just received my Kotobukiya statue couple weeks ago of the classic Iron man, totally awesome. Looking forward to this one. I've been waiting for a 1/4 classic (mostly)... I was born in the sixties, so classic is the way I remember Iron Man, not the new MCU stuff....

Haha. I’m right there with you on that silver age look. Having the mouth and eyepieces open always seemed strange and dysfunctional especially at high speed flight and during battle. To this day it still makes me nuts when Alex Ross draws it that way. Lol.
Wow! As an older piece from XM the concept and pose still holds up and looks great. Obviously if they were to make this sculpt today. They would have redone the visor and his pulsar on his stretched out arm to also light up. That extra portrait of Tony Stark is really fantastic, just not sure he would retract his face shield and helmet in a middle of a battle. I agree that the extra torso would have been better if it would come with another right arm that instead of holding on to the Voltron sentinel's head, it would have the arm bent and holding on to his helmet, so you can use with the helmetless Tony Stark portrait. For an older piece it's still very impressive in how it shows off Ironman's bad ass presence.

I'm looking for a non movie Iron Man museum style for an Illuminati display. Xavier and Black Bolt getting Reed..any ideas this is the closet one I'm finding? I just can't have a movie one as I read to many comics and your the go to for comics/statues.

Nice but it would be impossible for Iron man to have any peripheral vision with the way those eyes are set back from the metal mask. He would literally have to spin his head around left to right and up and down to have any vision

i was heading more toward 1/3...but recently have decided to stick with 1/4. The biggest factor was how long the 1/3 scale stuff has been taking to come out.
