Classic Mordheim Cult of the Possessed Warband from 1999 

The first White Dwarf I ever owned was issue 239. It was mostly promoting the release of the plastic Catachan box set, however, it also included an article by Paul Sawyer who was building a dark brotherhood warband using mostly converted cawdor ganagers.... I must have re-read that article over a hundred times during the years (yes I still have all my old white dwarfs), always wanted to build my own but no one played mordheim so I missed the entire craze.... I still regret that, though I did spend my limited hobby dollars on Praetorian guardsmen instead (which I also still have) so it wasn't a total loss...

I saw these dudes at a garage sale yesterday in a ziplock bag, and before I could look at them for a second time while browsing some turbo nerd (probably reseller) had started snatching every single box with GW stuff in it and setting it aside by a bush to buy it all for himself. Truly depressing. This cool older guy was selling all(?) of his GW stuff and told people from the community he was having a sale. He wanted people who would appreciate it to come get it at his low prices. Instead 95% of it went to one asshole who was most likely just trying to make a profit. I at least got a box full of classic metal dwarf models for myself. Missed out on these cool classic cultist dudes though. Yours are sweet, hopefully they’ll see some battle soon! That one mutant/possessed conversion model looks to be based on an ork, with some chaos spawn hands, a head and tail added on. It's pretty sweet too. You could even use that war band for necromunda... just be a very melee focused gang.

I’ve reached the point where I’m less bothered by mixing figures on different bases - In most cases I’m the one who based things differently in the past. I’d probably have more incentive to rebase if I were making videos
