Thanks for sharing a killer collection. I like your thinking as pertains to the state of things. It feels good to know there's others that speak the same language. Your bikes definately brought back memories of a simpler time. BTW, the Cycleworks is my favorite.
such a cool group of bikes, thanks for sharing. especially the info. kinda wish you showed the "flattened rear chain stay". couldn't find a pic on line
People say that intersecting gusset on the hutch trickstar made it stronger but mine ended up cracking in that area so I don't know about that statement. Also paying 5-10 grand for one of these is Ludacris when the 2022 hutch trickstar frame & forks are pretty much the same thing Possibly better made. I myself would rather have the re make with the modern geometry, modern BB, and integrated head tube for $799 or complete bike for $3400
Related to your tangent about California. As a kid and BMX enthusiast in the 80's California was the dreamland. Living 2 states away is too close for me now.
Dude, your Predators and rants got me subscribed! Had my 82 Atari stolen when I was a kid and I've never gotten over it! My 87 PFT does ease the sting a bit though :)
The CW is a nice example however, when I was building frames, those welds would have resulted in a rejection tag. Amen to the part about seeing everything sent out of country. Frankly, I love each of my 18 mountain bikes. I thought I had a bike infestation, jou got me one upped!! Keep an eye on BMX Museum for a look into vintage bikes and parts for sale. I miss my two OG Diamond Back BMX'rs as well as my OG Robinson.
The one bike I've never been able to replace after getting stolen is a 1987 Jamis Laser 2001 in white/orange/black. All my dreams came true on my 14th birthday, a month later it was gone. To the dirtbag that knicked my bike: there's a special place in hell reserved for you!
I for one think everything you said is spot on especially the political stuff. I'm gonna be leaving SoCal pretty soon and my BMX collection is already in another state. It includes a couple of GT Pro Nora's and the matching 24" from that year. Also have a Cali Torker like yours that's loaded. I like your use of the Yellow Z rims, looks super dope. Also have a few Mongoose Motomags and a CW Micro Mini Cruiser. Other than that our collections don't match up but our view of the world is one in the same. I'd rather have the money our government is screwing us outta through inflation and unbridled taxation and spend it on vintage BMX crap or even a 150k Hermes manpurse, god forbid, if I choose to!
What you said about our modern dependance on technology is so true, thats why i still ride, i can go to the same skatepark i rode growing up, and escape the nonsense for a while.
I think you guys can agree California isn’t what is was 40 years ago, the dream is now a nightmare, I have friends from Corona to Burbank and it’s not safe or family friendly anymore.
@@darthbiden8675 that says it all. You and Tucker can go hang with Putin and talk about Trumps golf score. You can pump your fist about freedom and see how he feels about it.
@@andybarrett6472 maybe if you people didn't turn our country into an embarrassment, I would be proud of it, how am I supposed to be proud of my country, when all we have exported over the past 20 years has been feminism, the LGBT cult, and antiwhite racism?
