@@thechrisman1345 for me it was because they were both passionate about their views while still being able to have humor will making somewhat logical points that did enough to either make their point or progress the debate further while still being entertaining
They were so open and honest to eachother there was never a hint of real hate or resentment towards the other guy. They had wildly different opinions but had enough respect for eachother to legitimately talk it out.

@@untuchablemizz1 yeah maybe i don't truly understand what you mean, but it doesn't matter when your conclusion is wrong, racism doesn't go away just because people are honest about what they're thinking and that everyone knows the reason behind the hate. This transparency still doesn't dissolve the hate itself. Fundamentally it's about resource allocation, some people want it some way, other people want it different. Racism is just the surface of this fundamental conflict.

Listen to this. A group of adults having an authentic conversation where the goal is expressing how they feel about what's happening in society. No one's trying to get anyone cancelled, no one's intentionally trying to misinterpret the other's statements. It's genuine, honest dialogue. I despise what he became, and also, feed Nana. However, i gotta disagree. Yes, he got lucky, incredibly lucky, but he did work for it. He was sending stuff in to stations like parody songs, he was appearing on Howard stern, he was trying and didn't just fall into it. Its not like he was installing an AC unit and Opie walked by on the street and said, I need to get this guy on my show.

I'm blown away by this. This is why censorship matters, they don't want you to hear white and black people actually talking about race and politics. Hearing this helps me to hear both sides and get rid of some of my prejudice
This is a great reminder of why being able to say exactly what you are thinking at the exact moment of thinking it, is more productive, and beautiful than this crap we are doing now. We have to be able to say things that may not be politically correct so those around us can learn and most of all teach us.

Opie didn’t suck nearly as much in the Patrice days. In their own distinct, brain broken ways, I think they’d consider each other friends, so they had a weird chemistry that kind of worked.
Patrice genuinely loved Opie and likewise Opie in his own way loved Patrice. It's a overstated opinion but Patrice living would have saved the O&A franchise in July 2014.
Ant isn't the one to argue it, but Obama has been terrible. 18 trillion in debt, as a percentage of GDP that's worse than the great depression, and another business cycle crunch on the way. Also this disease of Keynesianism hasn't just destroyed the American economy because Asian markets like China have had to peg their currency to the depreciating dollar, and American inflation has always been there to prop up the ECB. So we haven't fully realised the Keynesian dream of world inflation, but we're doing bad. Also an office marked by criminal scandals. Race relations are terrible now too. And Democrats have never hated republicans more; get Lenah Dunham OFF the tv. And he still has the audacity to swan around like the prom queen while people argue if he's a nerd or a psychopath.

Let's be honest. There's no reason to give a crap about poor people. Your entire argument is just another version of christianity. It's a religion. 'You must care because morality'. Once my taxes go over 50%, oh, yeah guess I'll just leave. Plenty of other countries where I can keep my money. Pretty dumb of you to think the impetus of people is morality. People act out of selfishness, and that isn't always bad or irrational.
A good idea to get Anthony’s response to is that ‘you’re not responsible for that you had talent and the ability to run after a shot in radio. There are many guys as funny as you still doing repair work because they weren’t born with or didn’t acquire the ambition. Many ambitious ones in the same spot because they didn’t get any talent. We need incentives that help orphaned little girls etc. I think we do have those incentives pretty damn well aligned, but more effective norms around giving to charity are needed. Rich people who give massively to charity are without any doubt bringing about the greatest good of anyone (we should respect them publicly). If the richest few people gave 60 percent of their money to the most effective charities to the most pressing catastrophes, countless children would be spared agonizing deaths, but they don’t feel like it, and they use 2D points like Anthony’s to justify themselves about it.
The richest few people don't have billions of liquid wealth. Their wealth is the value of the company they run/assets they hold. So you would be asking people to sell their companies.
