This might be a silly question, but if the track already has EQ and compression added should the Aphex be placed after them? I guess the answer is yes because we would have already get the basic tone with EQ and stabilize dynamics with compression so the Aphex after will just enhance what's already been done right? This plugin really benefits from Reaper's new built-in FX oversampling (with r8brain SRC), just so long as you don't take it above 176.4 kHz / 192 kHz.
I would typically put it after my normal channel processing (eq, comp, etc.). If I have several instruments that I'm going to use it on, I'll just have it set up as a send effect.
