Track weekend Sviesta track in Sweden 2021.
I restored this bike years ago.
Its a sweet little tiddler. Fast and light.
It was raced in the early seventis.

I have an original Ta125 but have never done a track day. In my mid 50s but I need to do it some day!

Watching your video brought back happy memories of when I used to race my air cooled AS1/3 in the 70's. Later welding a water cooling jacket round the top half of the cylinders gave little to no improvement in performance but made a lot of work.

Magique se bicylindre, s'était du moto plat en compte tour 🤩, pour avoir une 250tz café racer 1984 avec un montage 1985, haut moteur Humels, piston wiseco, dommage fragile comme du verre 💕💕

Push? Well, I don’t believe this was a race but a track day/practice. Secondly, there appears to be oil/oil dry on the track(probably from the smoking 4-stroke that was somehow let on the track. Thirdly, most would not want to destroy a difficult to replace bike or even the motor by pushing it hard just for bragging rights. I’ve priced spares for mine and that’s a no-go. I won’t mention our aging bodies vs. healing time and ability. Not criticizing but I get nervous thinking about being next to those $800 trashed stunt bikes that might care more about bragging than the spirit of vintage racing. That’s one of the main things keeping me from track days.

that bike sounds like a TA the way it revs out. Those GYT barrels must be ported a little eh!

Very nice machine. I built a RD125 TA replica, am working on a 6 speed now based off YFS/DT200. What sprockets are you using?
@malcrandall1309
@malcrandall1309 2 года назад
When I raced mine it was 39 rear and possibly 19 front.

my TA used 16/38 mostly. Would rev to 13.5krpm in top. I read the RD125 6speed would fit?
