CLASSIC ROAD BIKE MAINTENANCE 1 st EPISODE "DISASSEMBLY" PINARELLO MONTELLO 1986
Today we start a series of episodes, dedicated to the maintenance of the classic road bike. For this we have a mythical bicycle, the Pinarello Montello, which was one of the bicycles that the Reynolds team had, which in the following 2 years would win the 1988 tour with Perico Delgado. This bike is equipped with a mix of campagnolo c-record and super record components.

MANTENIMIENTO DE BICICLETA DE CARRETERA CLÁSICA 1º EPISODIO "DESMONTAJE" PINARELLO MONTELLO 1986
Hoy empezamos una serie de episodios, destinados al mantenimiento de la bicicleta clásica de carretera. Para ello contamos con una bicicleta mítica la Pinarello Montello, la cual fue una de las bicicletas que tenia el equipo Reynolds, que a los 2 año siguientes ganaría el tour de 1988 con Perico Delgado. Esta bicicleta esta equipa con una mezcla de componente campagnolo c-record y super record.
Para este video lo que quiero es que veáis como desmonto las bicicletas y las herramientas que utilizo. Os dejo un enlace donde podéis ver la historia del equipo Reynold ahora Movistar Team movistarteam.c...

Wow! Was searching "Pinarello restoration" when I found this video. And what a beauty you have. Looking for inspiration from old Pinarello bikes to maybe apply to my modern carbon fiber Pinarello FP3 should I break down and repaint it. I'm guessing, but I think it was built 2010-ish. Some of my builds are period correct, but some builds I like to do as "retro-mods", combining modern and vintage components and aesthetic. I'd thought if I sanded, prepped and painted my slightly shabby and dated looking frame, I might decal it in the old logo. Just a thought.

Beautiful videos. Astute and precise wrenching. I love watching your work; this is fast becoming my favourite RU-vid channel. It would be really helpful to know what kinds of tools you are using. Maybe a list of tools for the videos. More work, I know but very much appreciated. I can see you use Park Tools. If you have recommendations for those of us who want to get started. I have a mechanic. He is really good. But I want to do my own wrenching, and I’d like to get into classic bike building. I have ridden a bike my whole life, since the age of 5. I was an aspiring Olympic gymnast from ages 6-16; the bike (and swimming) were my cardio training. Any advice on tools are very much appreciated. Thanks for a great channel!

Those rims look like they were used in the pro peloton with the special Mavic stickers. I have a set like that with those stickers. Edit: yeah with the number plate braze on I bet the was a pro’s bike.

Hi Rodney!!!! that's right friend!!! This is an official bike from the Reynolds team, I was lucky enough to find it and the man who sold it to me told me that one of the Reynolds mechanics from the 80s sold it to him.
