Just going to say a lot of people on the Atari and Nintendo related forums don't endorse the negative comments you are getting on the Coleco on a unrelated video Just act professional Guys & Gals Also this is one of your better videos
Awesome, I remember going to the arcades in the 90's and hearing all of the pinball machines going, it was such a good vibe. Your Star Wars pinball machine has amazing sounds!
Seriously awesome looking pinball machine John. Would love to own one myself but the size of those monsters in length would never work in a Japanese house. Fantastic score on that machine
You know, it's really cool when you find a pinball game based on a series that you love. I know you're a huge SW fan so this must've been an amazing pickup! I've always wanted a Mario Bros pinball game..I love the Gottlieb one.
Ha that's got some great sound effects! and some nice animations, don't often get to play on pinballs but i enjoy working out what all the special features. Simpsons is a good one
They used to have this at the pinball hall of fame in las vegas. Idk if they still do but i spent hours upon hours for a couple years playing this. great video!
I recently moved to Las Vegas and am planning on checking this place out. I hope they have it cause I played this machine as a kid and absolutely loved it.
Awesome video. The first ever themed Star Wars game and first Star Wars Pinball machine was The Empire Strikes Back...made in 1980 here in Australia. I bought it last year and I'm yet to have it serviced as I am hanging out to play it lol.
+KWKBOX It's not my favorite, but I've played that one too. The early to mid 90s were really pinball's last hurrah. They were a bit before my time (I'm 27, I was around, but I was little), but I grew up in a poor town that hung onto stuff like that for ages, so the local pizza places, casinos, and bowling alley had them well into my high school years. "Attack on Mars" is probably my favorite and the "South Park" one (which obviously came out a bit later) is a lot of fun too.
+KWKBOX heck yeah. . adams family is fun, and a greart machine. . this one is really fun to play also. . have you ever tried this one? . I got the chance to try this one at this small bodega. . spent at least 5 bux in one sitting. . or should I say, "standing" . . lmao
My pinball machines are in perfect condition, I even builded one of my own at school. Now it is standing there for everyone to play, the children love it. They liked the theme portal storie mel, the idea of the Turret dispenser is amazing. The ball goes up at one point in the back and with multiball the three balls come down one by one by a gripper and alert lights will go off. Never had so mutch fun.
When I was a kid and we'd go to our family reunion each summer to an amusement park the hotel had a cool pinball machine I had to look the name of it up but the artwork and all of that was pretty memorable it's called Jungle Lord.. I never really run into pinball machines anymore. Cool Starwars table though John impressed!
+Bimmy Lee Its really unfortunate that John is taking heat for something he had no control over. He is merely a representative of a company that wanted to develop games for the Retro VGA/Coleco Chameleon. Its not like he was personally working on the console or placing the capture card in the Jag shell himself. The mob needs to call off their dogs on John. He had nothing to do with these debacles and it sucks to see his name getting dragged through the mud over things he had no control over.
cody kern I disagree. Again...Gamester is merely a representative of CollectorVision Games. The folks at CollectorVision should have been asking those questions...not John. Thats like saying you are responsible if your employer screws up. Seem fair to you?
Glad to see this old game getting some attention as its still way more fun than the new one that's just out. My favorite is easily Creature from the Black Lagoon.
Seems like a pinball table I would like to come across. My favorite pins would probably be a Gottlieb table I remember called Spirit of '76 (which I first played back in 1978 when I was 16 years old, at a local pizza joint; I can smell the pizza while the jukebox was playing "God of Thunder", with me racking up points), and a later table, Williams' Pinbot, from 1987. Never got a chance to play the Pinbot sequel, Bride of Pinbot. Dearly love to, though.
holy Frak!!! I loved this in 1994 when we had this in gimli Manitoba.... Canada fyi. I played this all the time "SHOOT FOR THE DEATHNSTAR!", "PINBALL WOO WOO WOO!"
love it! hope to own a pinball table of my own one day. my all time fave is probably twilight zone - haven't played star wars in forever - need to find it again!

just the ones that associated him with the Retro VGS where he stated the AtariAGE community just hated on MIke for no reason. See here, www.reddit.com/r/retrogaming/comments/3mlxyd/retro_vgs_system_interview_with_cofounder_mike/
+jconsolmagno There is never a reason to hate anyone. Sure people can disagree and have different opinions, but to me "hate" is a very strong word and shouldn't be used lightly. I do see people's concerns, and I think they're legit concerns that should be address by the Coleco Chameleon team.
+Gamester81 but you specifically said "haters" in this podcast, I don't think I took you out of context, here is link to NEOGAF www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=180235506&postcount=596
So what else do u have to say about what's going on with the coleco chameleon. Have u talked to mike?? And if a miracle happens and the system comes out will u be making games for it?
If you have any issues with it, feel free to send me a message. I restore pinball machines and am working on getting pinball machines to retropalooza. x) Looking forward to Sydney Hunter! I had fun playing the alpha at Retropalooza. xP
Oh I don't know how new you are to these but if there re batteries mounted on the cpu move them to a remote location. Batteries leak all the time now a days
John - it would be nice to give us a response video of your take on the Coleco Chameleon and your part in the whole mess. I know you stood behind it for sometime but, but ya know you have a channel here. If you just upload something about it and be honest with us, it would stop almost all of the bad reactions from people. And would get much respect from the gaming community. A lot of us had our hearts torn out by this and it's just one of those things anyone involved has to pay (but not really) I mean you had to have known they had no working prototype right? Just trying to get answers and put pieces of the puzzle together. You see John you leave people guessing to your role and what not, it ALWAYS leads to bad stuff. Just take out the guess work and then let normality resume. game on my friend, I hope you release something on RU-vid to your fans about this.
Really cool, I'm jealous :) What happens if it breaks? Do you know a place to fix them, do they come over or you need to deliver it? That's the only thing that would stop me from getting one.
I recommend you invest in a better microphone. The one you currently have has a weird sound to it, sounds a bit like we're hearing you from underwater (it's not that bad, but the sound is similar) and because your voice is on the deeper side, sometimes it's kinda hard to understand what you're saying.
Reading some of the comments is making me sick. If you read his responses to comments addressing the Coleco Chameleon, John did not have anything to do with the development of the system itself. His company, collectorvision, was asked to port a game to it as a pack in title. As someone else put it on here, he's just as much as a victim as everyone else. Anyone bashing John needs to grow up, because you're making yourselves look just as bad as the Tumblr SJWs. This is almost as bad as what's been going on with Fire Emblem: Fates; a bunch of keyboard warriors finding something to complain about then taking it out on someone who doesn't deserve it.
Seems to be a lot of hate going on. Put the blame on the creators of the chameleon not on gamester. He didn't create it. He only mentions something if he fels it might interest people. A lot of others mentioned it too.
Wow, people leaving irrelevant comments about the Coleco Chameleon and dogpiling with fraud/collusion accusations that anyone with a modicum of common sense can see are ridiculous. Seriously, the self-righteous keyboard warrior act is getting old. Grow up.
So, did you buy it with your Retro VGS money? Hack. You make fun of others for calling out a scam artist, all while hiding any proof you supported the guy in the first place.
I'm sorry to keep commenting but I've just never been so sick. I almost plopped down three hundred dollars based on your word! but instead you did no research don't care and flat out lied. so disgustin
+Tom Smith You're really hurting over that $300 you ALMOST spent. Quick question, how long does it take you to make $300? I'm assuming a really long time, sorry life is tough for you, I hope it picks up!
