These sets I'm showing here are not resin, but casting stone. Like plaster or concrete, but specially formulated for fine and durable figurines and chessmen. Super Glue of any kind does very well for breaks to this type of material. You can often make a repair that is practically invisible.
Yeah, it's a classic, with many interpretations over the years. One of the great European dreams, to go down south and raise hell in the Arab world. Makes a beautiful chess set!
Hey, don't worry, just go on eBay and you'll find nice sets in every price range. The sets I sell are hand crafted, individually finished, so can't compete with mass produced factory plastic sets. But keep looking -- there's a good set out there for everybody! AncientChess com
Thanks for the message. Good question! I actually don't deal much with resin pieces, so can't give good advice. I always try super glue on everything, but I may be way off where plastics are involved. A quick search on Google tells me the best adhesives are special 2-part epoxies. Devcon Plastic Welder II is especially recommended.... but I'm just googling! Tell me if you find a good solution -- or I mean, adhesive!
I always like those the best. The Alice sets I sell happen to be the same on both sides of the 'looking glass'. Also very good, but I especially like the character of different opposing sides -- though they are a little more to get used to in actual play.
hey i have a great chess set. i love it so much but i'm not that good at chess. It's an 'Alice in wonderland chess set'. One of the pieces has broken...:( what is a good adhesive for polyresin figurines :D? i can show you pictures of it.
Hello, I was, looking through your website and I did not find the crusades, chess set, the one demonstrated in this video on your sight. I was wondering do the pieces come with the board, or are they separate. I wanted to purchase the exact same set you have in your video.
I did a quick google search and found many! Really, this is one of the most popular themes. www.google.com/search?q=crusaders+chess+set&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS837US837&sxsrf=AOaemvIXFc1v4aeBY0oxeqmxmHyyc8Bb_w:1632415927762&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjonf-bx5XzAhXEZzABHdQyDkoQ_AUoAXoECAEQAw&biw=1366&bih=568&dpr=1
check out the site ancientchess com. you can peruse the site and contact me through the 'contact' link. We keep getting more of these special theme sets all the time...
Thanks for the question. I do not have these with details painted, as the ones shown. What I have now can be found at www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_ssn=rickofricks&LH_PrefLoc=2&_from=R40&_trksid=p2499338.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xcrusaders.TRS0&_nkw=crusaders&_sacat=0
+Theface ofawsomeness Thanks for the historical fact checking! I'm sure many 'theme' chess sets have inaccuracies and 'short cuts'. Please do comment on our other videos regarding historic information.
