Back in the 90's I worked Loss Prevention for Nordstrom and would order Tuna Melts delivered to the camera room from the Nordstrom Cafe and eat that goodness while camera hunting for shoplifters. I haven't had a tuna melt since then. Brings back memories.
My beloved cat. George loved tuna. He passed away about 3 years ago. Sometimes I dream about George. Although he loved to sleep on the kitchen counter. I want a another cat. I believe in Jesus. Please pray for my friends and I to get another cat. Thanks. Shiloh.

Tuna melts are pretty simple but I just wanted to make sure I was going through everything properly before I started, and you inspired me to add diced pickles to it, oh my god that extra little crunch is amazing haha, thank you!

Looks delicious, sourdough is the best for sandwiches like this👍, for family they don't like onion, celery, pickles or any like that in tuna, we use kewpie mayo, little milk, capers and ground pepper for tuna, butter on bread, processed cheese and havarti cheese.. 🤤, I'm gonna add parsley next time 🤔, might be fast dinner tonight with fries lol. I will save the drippings from the can for my 4 cats. It is salty but a little of it spread over 4 critters(on top their wet food….They are my sweet girl babies!!! Thks for recipe!!! Oh….and I sometimes I put Honey Mustard salad dressing in my tuna(plus chopped celery, etc.) Glad for your recipe! Ahna

The Tuna broth was for her Beagle DOG, not a cat. Obviously, you didn’t pay attention to this video bcos at the end she shows herself feeling the dog and the dog eating the food with the Tuna broth on it… 🙄 smh 🤦♀️
Yes I have 3 dogs, they love tuna oil. I never buy Tina in Brine, but will buy it now. I got some good recipes from a lot of clips, I love tuna- so will try all certainly in time.
Looks great my husband loves tuna melts I’m going to make this for lunch today. Thanks for suggestion of saving the water for your dog. I have a picky yellow lab so I saved some in a bowl sat it down and licked right up. Next time I’ll put it on his kibble.
Awe. I love yellow labs! And I'm happy, she too, benefitted from this video. I've had people tell me the water from the tuna can is not good for dogs, but I don't see the harm, especially when I only pour a little at a time over my dog's kibble. And I don't eat tuna every day. Dogs need flavor, too!
So i followed your steps just now, with the exception of all the other ingredients other than mayo since i don't have all of that, i used mayo and mustard, hit the bread with mayo, and when it was done, my goodness. I've never made a tuna melt before.(👀) it was pretty good. I need to buy the rest of those ingredients. 🤤

This is the consistency of tuna salad I make when just making tuna sandwiches, but for a tuna melt, I do think you should go a little drier, because you are going to have melty cheese all over it. Too much moisture will kill your tuna melt experience. As the Ortega people used to say: It tastes better in your mouth, than it does on your shirt! Thanks for uploading the video and method!
I made a bootleg version of this and it was so good I decided to look up how it would normally be made. Now I’m here lol. I had a “tuna creations” pouch and it was smoked flavored. I threw that in a pan with a slice of Munster cheese untill the bottom of the tuna was crispy and the cheese melted. I also toasted the potato bun in the pan at the same time. Then I threw a couple hamburger pickles and some Mayo on the bun along with the tuna and cheese and it was better than I had ever hoped it could be.

You wouldn’t happen to have a old timers hot tamale pork recipe like the old Mexican grandmothers made and passed on to their daughters. ? I’ve been looking for one for years since I had the best from a elderly lady and man that sat beside the road going into Houston that I stopped at every day they were there. She had them made in a crockpot or pressure cooker with a redish looking liquid. But they were the best I ever had and they were always wrapped in corn husk and the husk taste would really make the spicy 🌶️ pork tamales. Man they were the best in the land.

Great execution of a classic. Every adult and child dreams of having this served for lunch. I just wish it didn’t require so many different ingredients and prep. I have been making just grilled cheeses and pickles on the side but I miss the tuna.
