RDA sure appreciates The Simpsons referencing the show, given he had Dan Castellaneta in a guest role on Stargate SG-1 (which he produced), and later voiced himself on The Simpsons.
@@andrewbarton2590 And an awesome theme song too and sadly no official MacGyver Soundtrack album has never been released! The theme song was only ever released on Television's Greatest Hits: Remote Control back in 1996!😉🤔💽🤷
unfortunately the new generations will not have a macgyver.. a healthy model to follow, an example, an incentive to do well. This show gave us what we needed in those years and much more than we can get today. Thank you
When I was 8 years old, RIchard Sanderson was my first love... Every saturday 1pm, I've watched series of MacGyver after school.... He was so handsome, a super hero with tender smile. I will always love MacGyver! May God bless and protect Richard Dean Anderson! Take care! 😘🥰😍🤗❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏
Agreed. The second theme included a quick shot of "Countdown", Mac s ingenious way of diffusing a bomb aboard a cruise ship. I too was a teenager in the 80s
WATCHED THIS IN THE PHILIPPINES BACK IN THE 80'S EVERY WEEKEND WHEN WE VISITED MY GRANDPARENT'S HOUSE. THIS AND RESCUE 911 RIP GRANDPA AND GRANDMA LOVE YOU FOREVER. THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT MEMORIES.
This reminds me of the former Seven Network television studios in Epping, Sydney, Australia, with the other theme songs including A Country Practice, Dallas, Donahue, Family Ties, Hey Dad, LA Law, Magnum PI, Over The Hill, Sons And Daughters & The Upper Hand all sounding just like this one, the MacGyver theme song!
😢 Daamn it! A tear escapes me I am 37 years old ... Many memories from a snack before going to sleep or my grandmother watching tv Then or before macgyver, thanks
2:08 It’s impressive if Richard Dean Anderson really did this stunt, MacGyver was my favorite show when i was a kid, it was really cool to have a hero who uses his intelligence instead of weapons, especially in the 80s.
Agreed I think that was what really set this show apart from the others, it was a show the entire family could watch and everyone could be entertained by it.
I remember watching mcgyver as a child and my two younger brothers on a saturday evening dad +mam was going out and we were loaded up with sweets ahh such happy times😊
Mcgyver came in on my country in 1990's, remember my childhood with a cup of coffee and watching TV on the afternoon! Mcgyver it's a good thing of my life! 😊
This was my childhood, although I was born years after it went off the air. The whole series used to be on Netflix over a decade ago, and my brother and I binged the whole thing over the course of a summer.
Best episode, where he's in that mansion and his nemesis is in control. Uses that armoured suit and the machine guns blasts it to bits. Classic show!!.
I was on a camping trip with my university and the first night we were there, one of our leaders realized she'd forgotten a can opener. My Swiss Army knife has a can opener, so I pulled it out and handed it to her. She stared at me for a second and was like "Why do you have this just on you?" and I said "I've watched MacGyver and now I never go anywhere without it"
Congrats to Randy Edelman for coming up with three TV themes that are complete bangers - this, "The Adventures Of Brisco County Jr." and "Ryan's Four".
I was in Junior high school when this movie was playing. I still remember how nice my Times when i was in Junior high school, can i go back my Times to 90's?it Will be impossible for me to have those Times again
dana elcar had such an big career, i'm not american so the most i remember him was, he played as a kaos agent in "get smart" i.e a baddie, then ironically played a good guy and as maxes chief in one of the get smart movies then the most iconic of them all macgyvers best friend pete

I watched the series when I was 19 years old when it first came on television I never missed a episode a hero for humanitarian Causes and non violence he was a hero.of the mind
The only times that he would use a gun are when he needed a diversion,or a prop, or one revolver to be used as a WRENCH that would not slip off a wet nut for the sake of turning a valve!
It’s so funny to me that rather than choose new shots from the show they literally had RDA refilm bits like eating the ice cream, turning at the door, and slipping through the gate :D
