ICH habe einen VW Käfer Porsche Bj.1958 Alles Orginal mit Winker und Blinker, Sonderlakierung und einen Motor mit Holz 30PS und läuft und läuft bis heute super gut. Mein Vater war mit dem Wagen orginal beim Unglück in Legende dabei 1963 und alles im orginal zustand Ich fahre ihn am liebsten.

I have a 58 also. Where did you or where can I find the little chrome piece that is only approx. 3" long? It goes on the right side grill that is next to the speedo as you look at it. I have looked and looked but can not find one.

You can buy a new kit from wolfsburgwest.com or cip1.com. It is not exactly like the original, but it is close. If you want an original, you need the correct grill, and you can find spare pieces on thesamba.com or check with FB groups.
