With hammer fell being confirmed as the next location and how theirs a litteral faction that hunts down ecromancers but are seen as outcast it’s not hard to see them doing a dawn guard vampire faction systems

I. Love. This. This is what I was missing in my Necromancer playthrough! I conquered death itself. Why on earth would I content myself in some tower like a recluse? Let all of Skyrim know my power! Definitely going on my list of mods to checkout :) Thanks

@@Sethiroth_Gaming Honestly the way I see it a Lich is a person with a will to power so unbelievably strong that they conquer death itself by becoming the very embodiment if it. Then like a spreading darkness they overcome anything and anyone in their way until none can so much as think to question their power for they are POWER!!.. However it's up to the player whether or not they want to take the more simplistic route and play the Lich as just an all consuming monster who wishes to destroy and sow chaos throughout the land as well as craves power for power's sake or go for the far more nuanced approach to the character where achieving Lichdom is just as much about gaining power as it is using that power to establish Supreme rule over Skyrim in order to at least in their eyes bring true peace to the land by enforcing their unquestionable rule over its populace and by destroying both Stormcloaks and Imperials as well as any and all other threats...That adds a lot more moral ambiguity to the character and considering the fact that lore wise during the time of Skyrim it's basically a apocalyptic scenario where war rages everywhere with brother against brother, dragons have returned and with them bring destruction and death, and the vampire menace is causing rampant vampiric infection throughout the populace and people on mass would be disappearing due to falling pray to vampires or becoming enslaved and taken back to castle Volkihar where they become little more than mere cattle. This is not even considering that bandits would be absolutely EVERYWHERE as they would take full advantage of the lawlessness to take over abandoned forts and castles as well as raid and pillage villages and cities. They would also without a doubt take slaves, sell deadly drugs like Skooma and peddle everything other kind of vice you think of to desperate people who are willing to do or take anything to have even a short escape from the dark reality they are faced with everyday. Refugees who are seeking asylum would also be amassing outside cities and many of them would be turned away and therefore forced to live outside the city walls in the vain hope that if they're attacked the guards will come to their defense. Werewolf populations would also dramatically increase as there wouldn't be as many professional warriors hunting them down as a result of their focus being on the war or dragon threat and so same with the vampire threat citizens and smaller communities would have to rely on amoral mercenaries to take care of the monsters nobody is dealing with and so naturally mercenaries would be much more prevalent through the land and many of them would work for any group as long as they're paying. I could go on and on when it comes to just how much Skyrim would suck for the average citizen and so can you really say with confidence a Lich sacrificing a few to save the many is completely evil and unjustifiable. That's how I'm gonna roleplay my lich and he won't be the Dragonborn but a breton mage from Highrock who grew up seeing that the only way you can bring about lasting peace is by enforcing one's indomitable will upon the weak who are hopelessly unable to either protect or rule themselves..

@@Doomseer Wow, you've really thought that through! I play a wizard in D&D with a similar bent. The cleric and the paladin are always trying to convince him to have faith in their deities, but he trusts his own judgement and power first and foremost. Someone like that would absolutely see themselves as the cure for Skyrim's woes. Great RP right there. I like your Lich already :)

@@Sethiroth_Gaming That must be a fun character to play in D&D and actually makes me think of this awesome series I've re-watched so many times by the channel called All things D&D and the series itself I think is called the gray necromancer. I'd highly recommend you watch it if you've never seen it before. Also regarding Skyrim I'm just so glad there's so many amazing mods that make it possible to turn it into the dark fantasy setting it was always meant to be and I'm talking darker than even the witcher cause unlike the witcher world there are actual unfathomably powerful Gods or titans if you will from the very beginning of existence that can simply play with Tamriel as if it was their very own personal sandbox and the daedric princes are the perfect example of this due to the fact that they're just as strong as they were during the dawn era because unlike many other original spirits they keenly sensed what Lorkhan was up to and as such didn't invest any of their precious power into the making of Nirn. Therefore just easily as a puny little mortal can breath they can reshape reality at will and form autonomous beings from their own primordial essence which are the daedra and even their realms are just extensions of themselves and same goes for their corrupting artifacts. Honestly the Elderscrolls has so much potential but Bathesda even though I love them simply lack that same spark of raw creativity that Michael Kirkbride possesses and as a result since morrowind the Elderscrolls series has continually lost touch with it's more grounded dark fantasy roots and don't get me wrong the series is for sure high fantasy but that is precisely why the Elderscrolls universe is so dark. It's a fantasy world with beings powerful beyond comprehension and with cosmic truths so mind bending that they can send you into raving insanity or simply zap you out of existence all together. Furthermore Skyrim especially is pretty much the most violent, war ridden, monster infested, and over all harshest province on the face Tamriel and this isn't on accident as Lorkhan wanted it to be that way so it could act as a sort of testing ground for his children so that they could learn to become strong enough to overcome any obstacle or hardship until reaching a higher state of being and becoming Gods themselves.

@@Doomseer I loved the Grey Necromancer stories! It takes a really creative player to make a necromancer "work", especially with a party that still has some semblance of a moral compass. As far as "dark fantasy" mods, I highly recommend "Vigilant". Some of the best quest writing I've ever seen. Morally tough decisions. Unwinnable scenarios. A couple monsters that made me yelp in fear. Coupled with the "Ominous ENB", it was super dark and gritty. I loved it! I'll do a playthrough of it later, for a cleric/paladin flavored adventure. Should be fun!

Definitely going on my list. Sacrosanct is the only vamp mod I've tried so far. Adding it different vamp types and individual clans sounds brilliant. Very immersive :)

@@Sethiroth_Gaming I'm a big fan of Better Vampires. It's very complete and thorough, very customizable if you want to be OP or balanced either one.

Royal bloodline I think it's called is great too

@@PixxxelWizard are used to prefer better vampires due to just some of its gameplay features that I thought made more sense but overall I think sacrosanct is better balanced and more compatible with skyrim’s engine and gamefeel

Oooooh, you know what? I've looked around and I can't find anyone talking about Dead is Dead interacting with mods that rez you when you die ... Hmmm, I will have to play with that combo, for sure. It gives attaining Lichdom so much more value!

@@문아대 Which mods? My entire load order or just Classical Lichdom? Classical Lichdom / Undeath won't kick in until level 30, so they're pretty much inert until then. Afterwards, being able to rez at your lair is a fun twist, especially if you're going for a D&D-esque Lich build. Did that answer your question?

@@문아대 I haven't tested them myself, but in theory they should work. In theory. Scanning the load order for conflicts should warn you if there's untoward files being modified, and point you in the right direction for creating a patch, if necessary. Unfortunately, that's a combo that you can't just install and test. Not only would you have to level up to 30 to unlock undeath (which you could do quickly from the command line), but you'd also have to run the entire undeath questline. That's quite a few hours to test a single mod pairing. Hope this helps!

@@robertedwards4082 becoming a lich will be through the quest line. It does require crafting the appropriate items at the brokers shack. As for the devour soul spell, that's awarded when you feed your phylactery 50 filled black soul gems.

Oh indeed! In your lich form, you'll look like a literal descendent of the Night Mother. Creepy!

Very true. I suppose being a Lich in D&D is a bit different than a Lich in Skyrim. The opposite situation. You won't be defending a lair against invaders if you play a Lich in Skyrim. You ARE the invader. Not a lot of cat-and-mouse either, unless you add in some mods to make sure you're routinely hunted, but since those foes will be random spawns, there isn't much chance to "scry" after them. Still, it's the funnest version of Lichdom I've tried so far :)

Very immersive use of Growl! As far as the animations are concerned, I like the werewolf one. It is slower, which can be annoying, but watching the limbs extend and the fur grow is cool. Not to mention those werewolf kill moves are brutal. Classical Lichdom is an expansion which you ADD TO your Undeath mod. As far as load order is concerned, Classical Lichdom will go BELOW Undeath in your load order, so it can add in some bug fixes on top of the new material. I love the RP of a the lich. Sure, I'll help those Stormcloaks beat back the empire, but only because a dozen rival high kings gives me a lot more freedom to perform my ... research ... without outside interference.

@@Sethiroth_Gaming thanks for the info on undeath! I have another idea for you too in case you are looking for my content to record. The Sacrilege mod by Enaisaion. He is the same maker of the apocalypse, odin, and sacrosanct mods. Sacrilege is another more minimalistic vampire overhaul. Its geared more towards vanilla plus. I thought id tell you about it so that maybe you can make a demo on it, there is little to no video on sacrilege on RU-vid. Just an idea!

I'm sorry you're running into bugs. I've had to set aside a couple fun looking mods myself, because they crash my system for some reason (Frostfall, I'm looking at you), but I'll do what I can here. Let's see... First off, Classical Lichdom doesn't include a Lich Perk Tree at all. The mod for that is called "Prelude to Purgatory" www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/53143. Second, do you know how to check for mod conflicts between Classical Lichdom and other mods, using SEE Edit? Enough conflicts with another mod could break the UI for Classical Lichdom. Another source for help is the "posts" section of the mod page. A lot of modders contribute there with bug reports and fixes. I hope something here helps.

It doesn't actually make sense. Even if the Lich is undead that has nothing to do with it. If potions work for vampires then it should work for Liches. Although there is a patch for it on Nexus Mods.

I haven't tried Dawnguard while being a Lich, but it so happens there is a mod to allow you to fight along the good guys while secretly being a vampire... Maybe it could hide a Lich too? Both you technically be "undead" character types... www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/35109

Sadly, Xbox and PS4 do not give modders as much room to work as Bethesda does :(

There are two other expansions for Undeath that you can use instead. Or you can leverage some other mods' save-me-from-death mechanics. In the religion mod, Wintersun, once you've gained enough favor from Azura, she'll kick in and save you if you're about to die. I just don't know if that mechanic will 'trump' the lich's respawn mechanic.

@@brad4408 personally I think so as long as you have all the spells for it, though I use True Hybrid - tainted blood of the Dragonborn, so I can be a hybrid it works really well and I basically become an immortal god

Hmmm... PS4 is a bit tougher to debug... My first suggestion for a PC user would be try starting a new character with only the undead mods installed. Use the command line to power level to level 30 right away, and test out the mod. That approach would take a lot longer without the command line cheats though. Hmmm. Did you add these mods in mid-playthrough, or have they been installed since level 1? Adding a lot of content mid-playthrough can foul things up sometimes. @@mo-l9508 Oh, you don't suck at all! Running mods takes a lot less time than running them on PS4, you just have less variety. But there's still quite a selection to choose from. At the risk of exposing my inexperience at modding (I've just collected an unhealth number of them so far). What do you think the best way to release my mod list would be? A long text file? Pdf?

My last reply disappeared🤯 PDF or Modwatch would probably be best, as long as you give a warning whenever you link it I think people will understand you don’t give a 100% guarantee it’ll be plug and play with no issues.

I'm about 90% certain that you can, but I haven't had time to run a full Undeath Playthrough in which to gather Dragon Masks and try them all out.

You can wear all dragon priest masks except konahrik and miraak Correction the masks only work or the draugr lich not the skeletal one

@@konahrik9554 Lucky me :) I like the Draugr one. Has a bit more substance to it. Plus, the next time I fight a Dragon Priest, it's like fighting fire with fire, so-to-speak. Espeically if you've spent some time with Thunderchild :)

I haven't seen any of those yet. Closest to that bug I've seen is when I 'die' and another mod tries to "resurrect" me. That's caused some camera glitches, but it's avoidable. The missing head sounds a lot like it's getting overwritten in the load order. How many mods in your load order? Any conflicts when you scan with X-Edit?

@@totallylost7683 Could be. Start with loot, then do a conflict scan with x-edit. That should highlight all the files Undeath's expansion is over-writing, or by which it's getting overwritten. A surefire place to start is start a new game with only Undeath/Classical Lichdom installed and see if the problem persists. If not, the culprit is likely a mod.

I found a solution that to the floor glitch all u have to do is make sure ur Undeath is under all ur mods that change or have to do with skeletons/draugur and their armors I found out they conflict with most transformation mods as well

I don't think your character's armor will carry over to lich form. Might be another mod on the nexus to do that for you? I don't know.

So, you learn the forbidden knowledge, read the book to teleport you back to Tamriel, arrive ... and you just drop dead?

Sadly, classical lichdom and immersive lichdom are different expansions which do very different things to your lich experience. You'll have to pick one mod and stick with it.

As to mass reanimate, you should check that spell's magicka cost and make sure you have enough magicka or cost reducing perks to pull it off. If you're using enchanted armor to lower the cost, your character looses those benefits when they transform.

@@paulreid1983 Sure, according to this guide: tes-mods.fandom.com/wiki/The_Path_of_Transcendance_(quest) "The Elixir of Extra Magicka may be difficult to find. Depending on the Dragonborn's level, they might find this elixir within Silverdrift Lair in a section that loops near some Draugr crypts. Otherwise, merchants may sell this."

I don't know. It depends on how the scripts work. A lot of mods require the mod to "think" outside of the core game program. Those ones can't migrate to xbox, but I don't know where Classical Lichdom would fall in that.

@@GoddessCynthia it's just the same spells in game but renamed, you can get them back by learning the spell

The mod lets you store souls in it and toss them into a soul gem so you can quickly level up

@@konahrik9554 ya I know about that spell but the main things that killed the mod for me were all potions having 0 effect and the lich form itself being very weak

I don't think so ... Some mods have to think "outside" the game itself, so Xbox won't run 'em. I think one of the other expansions is available for Undeath on Xbox, but I forget which one. I don't own a Xbox :( Lol

The one for Xbox is immersive lichdom. It lets you use more spells in lich form but only vanilla spells. You also only get 20 (I think) spells in lich form which you can’t change only you at them to the lich spell menu

I think the best that platform can do is "Immersive Lichdom". Classical adds in game mechanics that can't run on the console. Sry :(

On its own, you cannot be both a Lich and a Vampire Lord at the same time. However ... there's a little gem of a mod called "True Hybrid" which will allow you to be a Lich, A Vampire Lord AND a werewolf. All at the same time.
