Thanks for providing this wonderful music! It does indeed have a relaxing effect ... even though it is winter and not autumn. Can you recommend a piece that works when one is feeling particulariiy inspired? I usually listen to gospel or Gregorian chants, but would love to find some classical pieces to listen to.

When I was in my teens I am now 83, I was fascinated by the Movie A Song To Remember. Saw it three times and since that time Chopin has been living in my head. Now as I sit doing my family history I can either listen to RU-vid or play one of my many CDs. So sad he died so young.

I am Sierra Leonean my piano professor and his professor was Corto whose professor was Chopin. I learn many pieces by Chopin: studies. Ballades, nocturnes, waltzes, etc.

Totally disagree. He was very human and very talented in expressing certain human emotions. But yes, he does not belong to a world that does not appreciate talents, a world where music is only a commercial product and the ultimate goal is to create something that stupid customers are willing to buy en masse.
