I am back from Classical Medley II! A lot of the pieces here needed multiple passes to figure out. Grant changed the rhythms in addition to the key and the tempo which made identifying famous pieces tougher. My thoughts: Grant you sly fox! You changed the keys and rhythms on some of these too! The hardest one of them all for me to do on my own two feet. But I see through your tricks Grant! I still figured out over 60% of these on the first hearing! That being said, kudos. The hardest one for me to work with is your best masterpiece. It took me a few gos and overnight musings to get most of them, but you mashed everything together so seamlessly in this medley. The "I Got Rhythm" segment was really clever. A nice clue to get us thinking about how you changed the rhythms on some of the pieces too. After all these gos, I had a few brain farts but I got about 80% of them. The brackets are those that other people figured out. I don't know how much time you put into this Grant, but I really respect you for this medley. The one thing I've always wished I could do as a classical musician (piano+violin) is to compose. It's been an honour playing "Identify the Piece" with you.

Impressive work as always! Some hints for the pieces you don't recognize: 2:24 Bach - this is one of Bach's most famous works, but I slowed it down and altered the rhythm - try focusing on just the notes 2:47 Bach - it is a Minuet in G, but not Anh 114! Also, another Bach piece comes in at 2:49 (in the third measure) 3:33 Schubert - this one is actually not a piano work 4:23 Prokofiev - I really sped this one up And don't forget the outro pieces!
@GoTFCanada1230
@GoTFCanada1230 5 лет назад
@@grantwoolard Wow!! Thanks for the hint at 2:24! I figured it out as my mind hummed Bach's Orchestral Suite in b minor! I was suspicious of 2:49 as another piece! Hmmm... what could it be... Btw, my comment got unpinned because I made an edit to my comment... I was wondering if you could repin my comment when all the pieces have been solved. Thanks! I'll keep working on the other hints!

It's quite hilarious if ya would imagine this with something like; Every composer in this video would be in the same room. Rows of pianos being played by different composers. Ya know just playing Then Rick Astley just enters the room and leaves quite quickly At 3:45 when Liszt plays, one by one the others just starts to stare at him. Once Liszt finishes, Beethoven just simply gives Liszt a glance and moves on.
