Thank u, April deserve so much love, they release some great songs like The Blue Bird and April Story ( one of the best song released in kpop lyrics wise and musically by )!
e.one only produces bops. He should be appreciated as one of the best composers in kpop. GFriend's Gone With The Wind, April's The Blue Bird and April Story, Sonamoo's I Knew It, WJSN's Secret, etc...
Kevin, I sometimes wonder if the average listeners and the classical musicians all appreciate the same stuff, but the average listeners can't label things or say exactly why. However, I'm sure that classical musicians are better at listening closely and hearing layers of things and patterns. Anyway, this average listener hears lots of "cool chords" and chord changes that are really, really cool. I can't label everything, but my ears love everything about this song... BTW, I wonder if sometimes average listeners have an advantage over classical musicians. I'm thinking of how Umu didn't care for Yves "New" at first because of the lack of musical "surprises" in it, but casual listeners were more free to just let it wash over them and say "that's cool!". I think that a classical musician who also has the ability to occasionally turn off their musical brain and just appreciate that something "sounds cool" or creates a cool atmosphere probably has the best of both worlds :)
I’m so glad they enjoyed this song as much as I do. It’s such a unique song in kpop. The interesting movements in the song along with the intertwining strings and percussion are what stand out to me about it. I think it’s one of those songs that will never grow old with me.
4:47 Somewhat average listener here! First time listening I was surprised by the melody because it never went where I expected it to. The thing that made me realize it's a pretty complex song, though, was when I tried to sing it acapella. I have perfect pitch but I still struggled with how the melody would jump between high and low notes, so it took me awhile to get the song locked in my head.
YASSSS my favorite song from April so far after April's Story!! Their songs are just reallyyyyy prettyyy but not overly cute or childish they're just rly pretty and beautiful ok AND THEY DESERVE SO MUCH LOVEEE thanks for this reaction!! 💕
So the first two “I have one thing to say” were distorted and high-pitched, except for the last one which is well-sung. That to me speaks a lot because it conveys the message of the song :3
APRIL's best song is April Story.. They're not my fav girl group but they sure have so many good songs and I've been enjoying their albums since April Story.. Most of their songs are an upbeat song with sad lyrics and storyline
As someone with fairly limited musical training, I could definitely hear that it was doing funky stuff with the key change from verse to pre chorus, and the huge contrast between some of the chords. I can't identify exactly what's at work but I can tell there's some unusual stuff going on for sure.
Finally such a beautiful song, april have awesome singles. Honestly i cant tell apart a "cool chord" [just 7ths] compared to a "basic chord" but this song always sounded special i tought it was the song structure cuz april singles have pretty interesting structures so you know you have yo pay attention to the sections and how those develop
i recommend april - april story, it's another great song by april, they should watch the mv :"))) and thankyou so much for the video, finally :"000 april deserves so much loveee :""))))
Ever since this song came out I've been listening to it on repeat non-stop, and I never tire from it. The way the chorus repeat itself, like right away, and the way the sound clash and blend is so amazing.
Ohhh yes this song and Oh! My Mistake brought me into April Well I don’t understand as much as you guys do, but I can feel the uniqueness in this piece and the notes
To me this song feels like they’re chasing something but never quite reaching it, like wind. Like each time the beat drops they just miss it, idk how to explain it, but that’s what I “hear”/feel in this song.
One of my fave girl group songs fron last year. I love the jazzy big band feel to it while also feeling like a ballad. And delayed cymbal crash is so cool.
This is such a great song actually :D . . Btw u must try tor react iz*one Violeta I think, it will be an unexpected song with unique chords in my opinion :'v
Absolutely don’t miss to listen to CHEN - Portrait of You, from his solo debut mini album and listening to the whole album won’t hurt too 😉. And as you guys a classical musician i think you will be satisfied from this specific song more than the other songs in the album especially for Kevin. This album will be a good material for Kevin.
please make a classical vocalists reaction to a show called 'king of masked singer' especially 'music captain of our local’ - Don't Cry. I want to know their opinion about ha hyun woo voice :')
