When Deja Vu came out, a lot of people said "It reminded me of old bighit","This is bighit not hybe" and TXT also talked about it and how they liked this complement.
Have you all noticed ENHYPEN and &TEAM (both were directed and produced by BSH) all had nostalgic comeback with the signature BIGHIT sound? I think they are bringing the bighit sound back I am so happy 🥲. That's what they are really good at. (even triple S new song is nostalgic too! I am seeing this becoming a trend now.)
@@yournameormyname8708 that's interesting mentioning tripleS, because i've been enjoying enhypen's memorabilia album so so much since it dropped, and i was pleasantly surprised bc all the tracks in that album were kind of different from the music that they've put out so far (in a good way, they were kind of resembling the old bighit sound with the rock/chill/guitar and drum heavy sound). the production and their vocals really really stood out, and the song lucifer in particular really shocked me i was like whoaaa this is NOT hybe lowkey so i had to look into the producers for it. apparently the producer who worked on tripleS latest release girls never die also worked on enhypen's lucifer and some of the other tracks from the memorabilia album were also produced by them too (i forgot the name, but if you search up on genius it shows the prod. name) anyways i totally agree that the old bighit sound coming back is so nostalgic and so good to hear after so long especially with deja vu and samidare (samidare is so beautiful omggggg ahhhhh) even boynextdoor brought something fresh and interesting to the table with earth wind and fire. like aside from enhypen's memorabilia album, their last album last year orange blood also had hints of more chiller/ old style releases. in terms of hybe, a month or so back (particularly right after deja vu dropped i'd say), i was really really enjoying it and i thought to myself "man i feel like the boy groups, especially txt, have been kind of serving lately, they're picking up the game and making a comeback in an industry currently so heavily dominated by flashy/cute/trendy/empowering girl group music". no hate to ggs, i'm literally an avid gg listener myself, but i guess i kind of thought this way in regards to hybe in particular bc of the recent gg drama in regards to mjh nwjs and illit and the lsfm backlash from coachella and all that and i was like sheesh maybe bighit/hybe rlly couldn't escape the "girl group curse" after all and in the midst of it bgs and txt have been rlly giving me something which i wanted to hear in a while.......... maybe i'm overthinking it but it could be a marketing/public sentiment strategy to return good sentiment towards hybe once again (especially with the lack of bts rn)
@yournameormyname8708 nobody said it is replica of bts. Everybody loved this song and said it gives 'old nostalgic bighit vibes'. Like back then how 'i need you' sounded
20:22 fun fact, the guy going crazy with the adlibs was told by the producer to just do it however he likes, he made them up in the spot in the studio! His name is Kang Taehyun
When Kevin in 3:58 said that "It's that classic BTS sound that I was missing." We really felt that, the moment this was released, we all agreed that this is the BigHit Music we knew.
i feel like its been a REALLY LONG TIME since u guys react to txt. But txt never fails to deliver their message through their songs & vocals. and the way they sing it too makes it more emotional. i love it so much
@@ReacttotheKThats not a exactly a TXT song or performance since it was a cover and included other artists lol. I get your point and read some of your other replies and it’s totally valid! but I hope you also understand where a lot of the comments are coming from!! At the end of the day though, it’s your channel so feel free to do whatever you wish but transparency would also be amazing.
I like when ppl hear this song for the 1st time and they were said that this is remind them to old bighit, bcs yes everyone really miss the old bighit. The sound of old bighit is legend and never forgotten.🥺
16:23 yes, even yeonjun (who was the first member to hear the final ver. of the song) used the exact word "yearning" after he finished listening to the song for the first time. the producer also agreed with him. an aggressive yearning for something that you don't even know
@@danielwithane911 I personally find 90% of Stray Kids title tracks to be obnoxious and grating, but you can't deny that they _are_ musically complex and interesting, like c'mon now.
@@aliceramenhead i never said that, i just find the song choice interesting. not every single stray kids song is musically interesting, sometimes it's just a cool upbeat song with nice raps. yet they never miss one. i'm just saying stop feeding us the "interesting songs" bs when they're clearly biased. transparency is important, especially if your channel has 800k subscribers.
Whatever personal feelings you guys have for groups, I hope you continue to do analysis on different groups and not just the groups you personally like!! I love to hear everyone’s opinions on different groups. So happy you did TXT again after a long time!! I hope you do more of them!!
I just really love that BigHit had TXT like……grow into this sound. Their whole concept is a bildungsroman, a coming of age story, and they started so youthful and pop-y, and then their sound began maturing and the lyrics did as well but the core theme, the coming of age, the growing and learning and experiencing friendship breakups and romantic heartbreaks and confusion and fear of growing up-it’s still there. In the previous comeback, they stepped into adulthood in their coming of age story, and now this comeback has its feet firmly planted in adulthood, in their quarter life era. And with it comes that classic, iconic BigHit style that TXT has matured into. They didn’t try to force it at debut. They grew into it. I just love watching that growth so much.
Thank youuuuuu for covering this song AND the anemoia remix ❤ Love the variety of angles reviewed too, from the MV cinematography and colours, the vocals, the composition, instrumentals, even the rhythms and drums. Y'all are so talented 😊
@@eatingeggtartswithkai I thought the same until I saw how the songs were picked. Umu tries to pick things that will get everyone to have something that they may love. While I'm not sure if she's explored txt's past songs. Sometimes songs don't picked as it may have only two of the musicians who may find uniqueness vs all. Regardless I hope more happens soon
@@kaj1104 but they dont seem to miss a single release of certain groups even if its mediocre so its confusing cos txt is so versatile and doing genres like rock and trap that not many people pursue in Kpop
finally!! i love txt's music and every song of theirs are musically beautiful and they come up with smth new everytime not a single skip!!u should check out the bsides on the album too they're soo good they never miss truly
I really liked what Taya was saying about the nostalgia for 2015 era BTS. I think that's one of the reasons this song resonates so much with me. I was becoming an adult during that era and the lyricism and the way the MV was shot and composed... I think TXT really captured the essence of Dejavu so well here. and gdamn if it's not also a banger track! Great reaction as always, ROTK!
I'm actually surprised to finally see a TXT reaction on your channel after all these years😅 They have released many songs with a variety of genres over the last few years that I wished y'all reacted to too! Glad to have a reaction atleast though! Hope to see more reactions to them in the future (hopefully).
i wish they reacted to some of their other albums since they are really good and definitely 'musically interesting' but it we'll have to live with this for now
Leave it to txt boys to always release masterpiece after masterpiece...it must have been so exciting stanning them cuz you'll never know what type of music they'll release next since they eat up almost every music genre... as an avid kpop fan, i can say that deja vu is the best 2024 release so far~
This Title Track really feels like a return to roots for Big Hit, As well as other songs on the album but more of a throwback to older TXT sound specifically the B-side "Quarter Life" & "Miracle"
The girl behind the acc is actually a Stay so i’m not surprised why they have never had a TXT reaction ever since. It just saddened me cuz back in 2020 i subscribed to their patreon and requested TXT rxns but they never heed.
liking comments talking bout other people having a biased POV when you clearly don’t like txt bc you have not reacted to them in YEARS is insane just admit that you don’t like txt or that you prefer stray kids more it’s not hard, let’s try. I personally have a bias towards txt not stray kids. no hate to them it’s just my bias i have nothing negative to say about them, but to pretend you’re being fair or that you don’t have a bias is insane and immature
I really like this type of analysis, I like both versions and they bring me different vibes, the "Anemóia remix" really hits that nostalgic feeling much more. I think that's really what they wanted to do, I'm glad they released both versions.
As an army, I agree that this song sounds a bit like old bts, 3gen music. I also think txt is doing great, love this entire album. Happy for them and moas.
OMG I was hoping for a reaction from you guys, thank you so much for reacting to TXT, I love Deja Vu and just TXT overall!! Please react to them more, they're amazing
Early-ish to a video for once 💜. Loved the analysis! TxT are a special group and as a newer k-pop fan but an avid rock and live music fan, I reacted the exact same way to the anemoia remix.
A sense of deja vu for a place you’ve never been-a song we’ve never heard utilizing a style of music-making we used to know and haven’t heard in a long time. I don’t know that it was intentional, but it was cool!
Txt are one of the only k-pop groups that cover a wide genre of music. Here is some for you to react, every song is great btw! • Tinnitus, The Killa - afrobeats • 0X1 Lovesong, Loser Lover - melodic-rock songs • Growing Pain, Frost - Metal-rock • Back For More (ft Anitta) - Latin pop & disco pop Some other masterpieces: Opening Sequence, Farewell Neverland, Dear Sputnik
That's the reaction I'm interested in when it comes to songs like Deja Vu. Thank you for explaining how it gives that emotions, because I felt them but didn't exactly know why haha All TXT songs are so good, boys are doing MUSIC
finally, the reaction i was waiting for!! thank uuu sm for this! 💗✨ totally loved your insights, also this really gave the "old bighit" and "music and artist for healing" type of vibe, especially those synths, it reminded me of hyyh bts era 💞
Kevin locked in on expecting a song titled Deja Vu to trigger a deja vu experience...😅😅 As someone who worked so hard to be able to play the flute well enough for a high school marching band...I really envy all of you. I could only dream about the talent and knowledge you all have...
Love the analysis and reaction. But isn’t txt arguably THE most musically diversed K-pop group in terms of genre? So it’s very surprising to me that in the past few YEARS, you said not enough reactors were interested in their songs lol. I think admitting bias is fine, what’s not fine is pretending to have a “systematic” and “fair” method to pick songs. Persons opinion tho.
Same! I love how much it does share that sound and feel. And at the same time the song has the sort of reflective sadness so common in TXT songs that isn't so much a BTS thing. It's theirs too.
TXT is interesting musically if you pay attention to them. I'd love to see some more reactions to them on here! Endless Rain and Fairy of Shampoo were the last reactions I saw you make to TXT on this channel.
@@MK-qn5xo Great music yes, but great does not always equal musically interesting. ReacttotheK sometimes reacts to bad music, but it's musically unexpected enough for 20 different musicians to have things they wanna talk about.
Oh wow... reaction for TxT?! for some reason i think this channel don't like TxT😅 They never skip Skz but the last time reaction for txt was 3 years ago...
They way you guys explained the tenderness and the space for drums really helped me understand in words why it prefer the anemoia version. Especially that part about the hemiola, I knew something was different but couldn’t find the word for it.
Please more reaction to TXT! They are really interesting in terms of discography. They vary in different genres and are always praised for their versatility. Thank you!
hi moa! me and my friends tried to cover this song with a rock version. if u don't mind, kindly check this one. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8xd0p42Lt8I.htmlsi=Bt5_-xl8jIfs3hke thanks in advance❤️
txt is one of the best groups out there right now and this comeback as well as the previous ones have have been straight masterpieces and because of that i really wish more people could appreciate/recognize them more
Honestly I wish you guys posted more txt reactions, I noticed the BIG lack of reactions for them which is very unfair and this is the reason I unsuscribed and wont follow u guys again :/. Only commenting for the txt reaction, I hope theres more to come in the future.
finally a react to txt song after such a long timeee!! im so happy that taehyun adlibs is being recognized here, and also, can we talk how the album colour theme is literally ORANGE too?!
i started watching this channel for BTS reaction and then it was fun and interesting. Then it faded from my memory I don't know. I didn't know the channel hasn't had the music I liked for a very long time now. I guess that's why people were complaining here not necessarily about TXT but they just want to see the music they loved also being loved by the musicians. Maybe the music I liked was too basic and poppy and not musically interesting to the reactors. But recently &TEAM samidare and ENHYPEN Fatal Trouble are both songs that has that BIGHIT vibe. I think Hybe is reclaiming their signature sound, not necessarily make something experimental but just to resonate with the general public: music for healing.
@@tssjd no way you are saying buying... As if you haven't paid attention to how ALL recent hybe group title songs are produced by him, including magnetic, samidare, fatal trouble, sweet venom, bite me, war cry, under the skin. And why they sounded differently? Cause producer is the one directing the project not necessarily writing every single line and melody.
Hey, its good to just say that youre a stay, being a stay isnt even a bad thing. Rather than saying you only react to musically song, just you only react to songs you like? The way youre denying being bias is so obvious. This channel ticked txt as songs theyll never react and still act this way is ridiculous
When deja vu came out I really get the deja vu feelings of old kpop music, and by old kpop music I mean is old bighit creation It's not because I'm a txt fan but I truly love this song and that's what I love about txt's music because I love their song without trying to love whatever they released because their song literally just hits me. For deja vu It hits me in so many different ways I just love it so much I still play it on loop till this day. I think loser lover will be replaced by deja vu and take 2nd place😭
Honestly I like the first version much more, it gives me a feeling of uncertainty which really relates to the theme deja vu… and also the synths in the beginning and bridge, these sounds almost perfectly reflect my feelings of deja vu, like you are slowly feeling the environment and little details around you, when you have a strange feeling of something in the past slowly approaching you in your deep memories… The anemoia version is also very good, but to me its direction and colors are too clear and settled that it leaves little space to keep the audience curious and wanna go deeper into the whole story. I think this is pretty interesting that how differently viewer/listener get their own feeling and preferences of aesthetics 😉
Im glad we're all getting the i need u/run vibes. Ive been saying txt is in their "most beautiful moment in life"(i find it interesting that bts' most iconic era was called most beautiful moments in life bc its almost like they KNEW)era. It feels like this song and album is hoing to be a big part of their long term career, and solidify their style as artists.
Also, on what Lana was saying about the MV vs Song feeling different, BTS got the same "critique?" for having a very heartwrenching and cinematic "I Need U" MV, whereas the song and lyrics felt like an angsty trap love song. It might be intentional!
6:13 the adlibs were improvised by taehyun 🥹 if you guys wanna see there is actually a official behind the scenes recording in their channel where their raw vocals are heard
