I think she was sitting for this one is beause she was not feeling well from her bouts with pneumonia and did not feel safe standing through this performance. Also, the King of Mask was a series of competitions. So Hyand won 6 times in a row and lost on her 7th. She entered the competition after almost giving up singing. She left for America and while in Philadelphia saw a quote from past President Franklin D Roosevelt: "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself". She thought about the fear of regrets she might have if she stopped singing so she went back to Korea and entered King of Mask. She found that even not being able to practice as much and not feeling that she could acheive the 100% quality level she wanted, that people still loved to hear her even at 50%. This series encouraged her to continue and many have been so blessed that she did. She sang with the Begin Again group after that as wel and travelled with a nebulizerl. Her health seems to be better now and she seems to be very comfortable and self assured on stage. She has been critically rated as the top 6 in the world. We are so fortunate to have these videos of this legend which will be watched for years to come while hopefully making new ones for years to come.

About the lyris, in an interview, Sohyang said that she always tries to think of meaning of songs she sings as if the relationship between the God and people. So, for Hug Me, it was sang as God longs to hug us in deep love.

If you listen to her song. Depending on the words in the lyrics, you can tell she's singing in different ways. She sings by completely analyzing the lyrics and interpreting the images of the words used in the song in her own way. So her songs are genuine and touched. One word, love, has different moods depending on its usage. There are countless joys, sorrows, sorrows, emptiness, etc. It accurately conveys the meaning of each one day by day. Many great singers have that kind of delivery, but Sohyang, in particular, is very detailed in its spectrum. Even in the words of a sad image, it is divided over and over again within it. I think that's the best part of Sohyang. So the listener comes up with an image rather than a word in the lyrics of the song.

I think her prime is 2012-2017. Unfortunately she had lost it from 2018 to early 2020 because of the desease, you know pneumonia. Now she is 43 years old... God bless her.

She was not well here. There are plenty more new performances that you could react to since she has been pneumonia free since 2020. 2018-19 were her worst two years for her health since her cancer. She was ill for many of her performances over those 2 years. JUN has the original from the KOM show 2017 but the KOMS were very edited for TV.
