Yes... I remember one time I was on the subway reading the paper and someone sat next to me and I felt such an intensity I was scared to look up. I had a dream about him in 2015 and weirdly two days later he found me on facebook and messaged me to say he’d just got back to the UK.. I know what you mean about knowing people for years in dreams and not knowing them elsewhere! (or in your case before you looked them up) I often lucid dream and visit a city and know some folks there, I ask questions "where are we" or "what's that called" I could draw a map of the city and surrounding countryside of this place, I know names of pubs there, games rooms with games you have never seen before, libraries, secret castle passage ways, all kinds of things. I'm often meeting new folk there, some famous people I've met there too.

I used to go to the skatepark when I was a kid and I had a dream of me landing a trick I've never landed before it was a realistic dream. I don't remember how long after it could've been same day to a week after I landed that trick and it was exactly like my dream. Same spot same setting same feeling same ramp. I never use that ramp for tricks before. When I landed it I was very excited and I told my friends I had a dream of landing this trick right there, same time of day, even the shirt, and ramp I never use just like in my dream.

Several several years pass until couple years ago my father showed me a picture of my grandmother and my grandfather at an airport. Our loved ones never leave us. I have interacted with them also. Sometimes they are very humorous. When you miss someone very much and feel sad it is because they are near you. They don't like to make us feel sad and it pushes them away. I have also met people I didn't remember I knew from another time, like a friend's father who passed away before I met the friend. I saw a picture of him very clearly in my mind and he would speak to me. Then I was at the friend's house and saw the same picture. The friend and his family would often look at me in astonishment because I would say things that he would have said, things that were not typical.

Absolutely mine started (powerful da javu) while dreaming. I then started to record upon waking, in the middle of the night, snooze on the couch, ect all my dream's as often as I recalled. This allowed me to have a record vs.a fuzzy memory to fact check the next time that (Future) sneaky De Javu feeling struck. After that like a muscle (work it it grows don't it won't)that ability grew from there. I started to be able to discern a Deja Vu that I will probably witness in my future versus a dream, absolutely amazing stuff.

It is much more than sleep lucid dreaming, you are 100% correct about practicing guessing objects. Not only will you see flashes and clues that guide you, but if item was in area of multiple items (toy box, tool box whatever) you will get what I refer to as "bleed through flash/Images" meaning that all the flashes travel through the same core, this the reason for multiple reads.
